Lunchbreak?

Sami gets a half hour for a lunchbreak?  Are you kidding me?  She is supposed to be an executive.  Executives don’t have lunchbreaks, they go when it’s convenient for them, usually working around schedules, meetings, etc.  Sometimes they work through their lunch, sometimes they don’t even go at all.  It’s called time management.  The most valuable thing an executive has (outside their knowledge and experience) is using their time to the best advantage.  That typically includes working overtime (frequently…like DAILY) and on weekends and often foregoing days off and vacations.

I always laugh when on TV they show the "boss" coming in to work in the a.m. and the staff is already there.  Every place I’ve ever worked that had a successful "executive" working there, they were there long before anybody else.  My son, who has been very successful in the banking industry, is normally in his office at 6:30 a.m. and rarely leaves at night before 8:00.  I believe that has been instrumental to his success.

My PCP came to see me in the hospital between 6:15-6:30 every morning and I’m sure he doesn’t leave his office before 5:00 p.m.  I had a friend see my other doctor at the club, showering after his workout at 5:30 a.m.!
