I couldn’t get this to post on the other Maggie topic, so I started a new thread.
Maybe if they do kill Mickey, they could have Don Craig come back to help Maggie through the rough time. I would love to see Jed Allen back on the show and Maggie & him do have a history since they fell in love when Mickey was thought to be dead many years ago. He could then pick up the law practice so they would have a lawyer on the show, besides EJ and he also has history with Roman.

December 22, 2009 at 1:06 pm #8678June66watcherParticipantSince Nathan is Melissa’s son (Melissa married Pete in 1974) then we could expect Maggie’s daughter to ‘come to Salem’ next year so the Horton family could be expanded. Melissa could present some back-story telling and bring some musical talent to Salem too!
December 22, 2009 at 6:45 pm #869453tdogsParticipantthat’s for sure…not sure why Nadia doesn’t sing anymore – at Christmas time with her beautiful voice it would be nice to hear on the show.
December 22, 2009 at 11:04 pm #8704SWParticipantso maybe she can’t sing on the show as part of a music contract? Just a guess but sometimes people are signed to exclusive type contracts.
December 22, 2009 at 11:07 pm #8707SWParticipantMelissa was adopted but maybe I’m confused, her last name was Anderson. Sarah was the product of artificial insemination and I think her bio sperm donor was Evan Whyland with Maggie being the mother. Mickey couldn’t have children.
December 22, 2009 at 11:55 pm #8710June66watcherParticipanther boss, Mickey Horton, back in 1971, after she broke up w/Jim Phillips. Linda wanted Mickey to divorce Laura, honestly believing the baby she was carrying was his. Although Laura & Mickey stayed together, he supported Linda and child. Of course, later when Bill & Laura were privately working out the paternity of Mike, we learned that Mickey was infertile but that didn’t stop him from loving the child as his own. Later, in 1977, Linda married Bob Anderson, so that’s why we associate Melissa with the Anderson name, but she was born Melissa Phillips.
Fast forward, to 1982’s Maggie/Evan storyline which produced Sarah… Maggie and Mickey won custody of Sarah and Melissa too!
December 23, 2009 at 12:05 am #8711June66watcherParticipantthis discussion reminded me… I have a CD of DOOL Christmas songs sung by Maggie, Mickey, Doug, Celeste, Jack, Brady, Chloe, Craig and Grandpa Shawn. I dug it out and will be listening !!
December 23, 2009 at 1:34 am #871653tdogsParticipantwould be fun to listen to!
December 23, 2009 at 10:06 am #8726SWParticipantI didn’t watch that far back.
December 23, 2009 at 11:44 am #8730June66watcherParticipantAlthough, I have to admit my ole’ memory bank isn’t what I’d like it to be. Thankfully, I can defer to my Days of our Lives Complete Family Album to double check things I ‘think’ I remember.
December 23, 2009 at 11:52 am #8731June66watcherParticipantRight now, during the Xmas set filming, the background music is the same versions used on the CD (without the vocals included). I’ve heard this in the past and ‘smiled’ to myself.
Listen for the up-coming New Years background music of Auld Lang Syne (which is on this CD). Know, then, that I’ll be wishing ALL of you and yours the best for 2010!
December 23, 2009 at 1:58 pm #8742BonbonParticipantI just saw a musical Christmas promotion for another soap. It kind of rang a bell that I had once seen this with the Days people singing a Christmas song too. Am I imagining this or did it really happen?
