I just read some spoilers that say Maggie has a big storyline coming up and people are speculating that Mickey is going to be killed off. They also mention that there have been pictures of the "real" Mickey on the set. I haven’t noticed, but does anyone know anything about this storyline? Somehow, it is being worked into a story for Maggie and her potentially falling off the wagon.
December 3, 2009 at 4:46 pm #8050GrockieParticipantDuring one of the questions they do at commercial break, Maggie had a question standing in her kitchen. A pic of the "old" Mickey and Maggie was on a table.
December 3, 2009 at 5:08 pm #8051GoodyParticipantI read something about that on another site, but I thought it was listed as just Speculation or Rumor at this point. Anyway, she is supposed to have a storyline coming up soon. I like Kevin Dobson as Micky and wish we could see more of him instead of killing him off.
December 3, 2009 at 5:44 pm #8054PattiParticipantthat they would hire a really good actor (Kevin Dobson) to play Mickey, I assume because they could no longer explain his absence from Maggie’s life since he was and is alive; put him on contract; give him some very menial role here and there, which I could probably count on two hands as many times as I’ve seen him on screen; and then just nada; nil; zilch; no more Mickey, or again Maggie’s poor excuses why Mickey wasn’t around any longer. Oh, well, evidently Mr. Dobson didn’t gel with someone in the higher rankings, so I think the rumors just might be true. Of course, I’m simply speculating, too!
December 3, 2009 at 7:53 pm #8055Ms. JakeParticipantJust maybe our real mickey might come back for a story!!! Just my thought, of course……
December 3, 2009 at 8:09 pm #8057VikieJParticipantToday they showed a picture of John Clarke (I think that is his name) with Maggie as she was talking to him on the phone. I haven’t read any spoilers about Maggie and Mickey, but I was thinking since they had showed his picture something would probably happen to him….
December 4, 2009 at 9:52 am #8072PunkyParticipantRecently NBC sent out a Days survey and specifically asked what type of storyline you would like to see Maggie in? I took that to mean that perhaps some storyline involving Mickey might be in the works.
December 4, 2009 at 2:59 pm #8083mommytutuParticipantYes, something is definitely up. Just saw the scene with the photos of her and John Clark. I don’t think there are plans in the works to bring him back, but I love seeing Maggie with the real Mickey–the only Mickey in my opinion.
December 4, 2009 at 3:27 pm #8085PattiParticipanta new dramatic storyline for Maggie in the new year. I have no idea what it will be, but I’m growing more and more suspicious that it could very well be the death of Mickey. I don’t think John Clarke will return. I read somewhere that he was in ill health, too, and not able to return. He was, and always will be, IMHO, the one and only Mickey Horton. I was wondering if that’s what they are planning for Maggie for the new year, I think it would be an amazing storyline if Maggie would be the one to fall to pieces and maybe even fall off the wagon again, only to have Lucas be the only one who could help her back again. Just my thoughts, haven’t read anything about this anywhere, but I would love to see Maggie and Lucas in a good story together. He really needs something to turn his life around. He’s had a lot of heartache and Maggie has always tried to be there for him. Now it could be his turn to be there for her.
December 4, 2009 at 8:04 pm #8096majencoParticipantFalling off the wagon after the death of Mickey would be a great storyline for her. Get her out of the neighborhood busybody role they have had her in lately and give her something to sink her teeth into. With all her houseguests and Nathan and people she has helped there should be plenty of people there to help her. I would love to see the one person to turn her around be Lucas. This could be a fabulous turning point for both characters.
December 5, 2009 at 7:45 pm #8131BonbonParticipantWhen Maggie was talking to Mickey on the phone, after she hung up she picked up a double picture of the two of them. That’s why I think something is brewing regarding Mickey. Killing him off and having Maggie go off the wagon would be awsome…IF…the writers can do it right. And I know they can.
December 5, 2009 at 10:37 pm #8140CatLady54ParticipantWhy can’t they get John Clarke and have him return like Alice does. She’s in ill health too, but they bring her back whenever they & she can. Maybe I’m superstitious, but I hate the idea of them killing off Mickey when the real actor is in ill health.
December 6, 2009 at 4:53 am #8147justwonderingParticipantNo please. If they do decide to kill off Mickey, don’t have her slip and drink. She could be depressed and fall apart but not drink. or here’s a thought, she handles it with dignity like the classy woman she is. There could be a story of first being depressed and then going on as most people find the strneght to do. But no story about falling off the wagon–Lucas is enough. let’s have one strong woman on the show, one who doesn’t need a man to survive!!!
December 6, 2009 at 1:38 pm #8149mommytutuParticipantI actually think it would be a good story. Especially if they have Lucas helping her out. I think we’ve seen Maggie tempted a few times. Suzanne is such a great actress, I would love to see her have a meaty role on the show for a change.
December 6, 2009 at 4:13 pm #8154PattiParticipantI think Suzanne Rogers would rock that role. She is a much better, I would even say amazing, actress than she is being portrayed right now.
