Anyone watch Hells kitchen or master chef?? they both started last night! Gordon curses a lot less on Masterchef. That one guy bugs me though, Joe, he will taste the food look at them then walk back to his chair without a word! drives me nuts!

Plus, they aren’t badgered, cursed at, or otherwise verbally abused anywhere near like they are on Hell’s Kitchen.
June 6, 2012 at 12:32 am #33569caseyParticipantand although it was good just didn’t care to see more. But Hell’s Kitchen I always like. Though I wish they’d bring back John Paul instead of these bland maitre ‘ds.
June 6, 2012 at 3:54 am #33578NoraParticipantI like both shows but I think o like master chef best. My fav so far is that blind woman. I hope she goes far. On hell’s kitchen I swear one of the girls wad on an episode of chopped, she is the short one, she was put up tonight, but didn’t deserved to be. I can’t think of her name, she has long brown hair and short.

However…Nora can attest for me that I do not, will not, and have not watched Hell’s Kitchen – because of what you, Patti commented on regarding the shows premise of the verbal abuse, cursing, and down-right meaness instead of uplifting entertainment.
June 6, 2012 at 5:23 pm #33602BonbonParticipantof allowing all the cursing, especially on the reality shows. This show’s host should be told that they will no longer bleep out his words but cut the scene completely. I know they probably do it to make people think he’s just a regular jerk but he could be the same jerk without all the smut. JMO
A good example…Howard Stern. The man is an obnoxious, gross, unlikeable guy but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him use a profanity. I hate him nonetheless.
I just don’t understand it why the producers seem to think they need this stuff in their programs. Believe me, I’ve used a few of those words myself but not on national TV.
June 6, 2012 at 6:24 pm #3360653tdogsParticipantenough about him to know I’m not going to watch him. And, the children these days, (not all kids), but many think it is hip, cool, rad, or whatever the current terminology or vernacular is that they are using these days to cuss up a blue streak (as granny used to say). Do you kids kiss your mother with that mouth?
It’s just like the nose/eyebrow/lip piercings, the tattoos that are showing, their looks as well as their demeanor, and their bad inarticulate language is not going to get them an edge to a well paying job or career. I, as a business owner would not hire someone who walked into my establishment that has those kinds of looks. I don’t care what you look like, nice you are or how cool you are – it is my blood, sweat and tears that pays your paycheck. If you are going to come looking for a job at my place of business, then pull up your pants, put on a suit and tie and get the purple streaks out of your hair dude!
June 6, 2012 at 9:53 pm #33616caseyParticipantthe HK contestants turn the air blue with their constant F bombs as well. I’ve concluded people think they’re cool and tough and hip when they talk the literal trash(y) talk. And why is it so many in the restaurant industry smoke?
June 7, 2012 at 12:07 am #33618NoraParticipantI know it’s horrible and I hate all the food the waste on Hells kitchen but I can’t help myself from watching!
