Matt gave me chills at the end of the show when Jack was having flashbacks. Wonder if he’s going to end up taking off his shirt so that Jennifer sees the scars?
November 5, 2011 at 12:31 am #28353caseyParticipantan outstanding storyline and one I don’t recall ever seeing tackled on Days. It’s so more intriguing to get Jack away from silliness and pratfalls to see a deeper side.
November 5, 2011 at 2:23 pm #28355NoraParticipantME too! I really enjoyed Jack today. Wow. Yes It’s SOOOO Much more interesting to see this side of Jack than the baffoon. He really needs some therapy. maybe Rafe will get involved with this story some how to help talk to Jack since he’s been through similar situations.
November 5, 2011 at 4:38 pm #28360PattiParticipantJack’s story from when he was held prisoner. It gave me chills to see how he was tortured and now that they have revealed it, I can certainly sympathize with the character a lot more. Even though I would never condone Jack leaving his family with no explanations as to why, it certainly gave me a much better understanding of why he was not able to reach them. I’m sure Jen will stand by him once she sees how much he is suffering and, although Daniel has been good for Jennifer, I can still see that her love for Jack is there, and that his family will probably come together now and try to help him through his trama. I was glad that Rafe saw right through Jack’s turmoil, as well he should have, since he’s been there himself. I think this is going to be a very powerful, heart-felt storyline for Jack, with a slow road to recovery for him and for his family. This is one story line I would not want the writers to rush through, since there is no quick recovery from PTSD.
November 5, 2011 at 7:02 pm #28362powerpaw2Participantthe writers have the tendency to take a golden storyline opportunity and turn it into a disaster. We’ll see how it plays out.
November 5, 2011 at 9:30 pm #28363caseyParticipantbetter get back to work!
November 6, 2011 at 4:36 pm #2837253tdogsParticipantbe a distraction for her with all the troubles with John. The Salemites have needed Marlena back and working at her craft for a long time now as they’ve all pretty much gone off their cracker at one time or another lately. And with Marlena not being with John every second of every day, it may give John the time to clear his name sans ankle bracelet, like he did on Halloween.
November 6, 2011 at 10:31 pm #28379caseyParticipantclose quarter togetherness between J&M and I’d love to see her get out of that apt and not be hoovering over her hubby. Hopefully this upcoming hypnosis session will reveal something to really move the story forward.
November 6, 2011 at 11:29 pm #2838153tdogsParticipant(J&M) have been doing almost since the moment of their return, I’d be needing some therapy too! I was almost cheering when Carrie said the trial would be soon. At least then they (J&M) and we will be seeing them in a different venue and setting. I feel like, although, the show has returned my all time favorites (thank you VERY much from the bottom of my heart DOOL), that the writers have pinned and stuck Marlena and John like a collection of butterflies in a box being in their living room since their return – not cool to do to major players in the show.
November 7, 2011 at 11:53 am #28385BonbonParticipantMarlena being a psychiatrist, that she would realize that John would need some time alone since he’s cooped up there all the time? She should try and get ot and get away from him for awhile and give him some time to himself instead of hovering over him all the time.
My ex DH and his wife have been traveling all over the US for the last 2 1/2 years in a motor home. I asked them if they didn’t get kind of tired being in such close quarters all the time but they said, no, they are still enjoying it. If that was me I would have either gone insane or killed him! :o)
November 7, 2011 at 2:43 pm #28387PattiParticipantit’s Marlena’s choice to be with there with him. Her husband is worried now that he may have committed this crime. I should think nothing could make her leave him now.
November 7, 2011 at 2:49 pm #28389DeeLanParticipantMy husband and I both retired and are together 24/7. He’s involved in ASL and a few other war games so the days he has a game I LOVE when he’s gone. I know I have from 8:30 to anywhere from 4-6pm to myself and it’s so nice to be able to do what I want without him questioning my every move. Of course those are the days I try to look my best when he comes home. It makes me feel good and special when I do. Don also says he enjoys it when I go out, even if it’s just a couple of hours.
We love each other but do need our alone time once in a while to be ourselves, relax and recharge.
November 7, 2011 at 6:24 pm #28396lynnekarenParticipantPTSD lingers forever really, I believe it changes you. And this is powerful so far. My chest hurts watching him and Jennifer right now.
