I just read on dayscafe. Melanie and Chad have another scene together. Who cares??? Are they going to pair them up? I hope not, I like Abby and Chad.
I am starting to like Chad and Abby, but in real life Chad and Melanie are dating. They could be trying to pair them because of their real life chemistry hoping it will click on screen. They did the same thing with Nicole and the old Brady because they were married. Personally, I’d like to see them stick with Abby and Chad. I find it awkward that they had Melanie married to Phillip and now she’s going to hang out with the younger group, although she is their age. I don’t think they know what they want to do with her character and they are trying to pair her with someone. I think they should bring back Dario. That relationship was just taking off and they didn’t give it a chance.
Dario, too. I agree that they should give him another chance. Wonder if the big cheeses read our posts and make decisions accordingly. Thanks, Mommytutu for adding that info about Chad and Melanie still dating. I have been wondering about that.
that it will drive a wedge between Abbey’s and Melanie’s friendship, even if at first Abbey doesn’t accept Jack back into her life. I can’t see Abbey standing by and allowing Mel and/or Chad to "gang up" on Jack and Jennifer and bring him down for too long, since it’s obvious Abbey still loves her dad. On the other hand, I can see where It still would be difficult for Melanie to maintain a close friendship with Abbey, knowing how much Daniel loves Jen, and then to sit by and watch him suffer once Jen goes back to Jack. If that were to happen, Chad might take Mel’s side and offer her a shoulder to cry on, and Mel might do the same for Chad, since Jack hates him with Abigail anyway, leading to the two of them getting closer.
together on the show…for some reason it makes it more realistic to me. When did they start dating? Just curious. I’m not as invested in Abby so she could find someone new. And you know they never keep couples together for long in a soap anyway.
And speaking of couples…Writer’s hear me now: Never, ever, never tear apart Bo and Hope or J&M or Mag and Vic again, I mean it writers…they are great as couples and should stay together always – you can send them into dire straights and all kinds of adventures all you want but they stay together do you hear me? Forever!
If you writers feel the need to tear couples apart for a story line then make it Jack, Jenn, Daniel, EJ, Nicole, Abby, Mel, Chad, this new Maddison when she hooks up with someone in the show, (i.e. Brady), etc. Even Stefano and Katie and Sami and Rafe having a short falling out would be interesting. They can all play musical beds, (a-hem excuse me "chairs" – I really meant to say "chairs"…No, really, I did!)
we will ever see a Chad and Melanie pairing as long as they are seeing each other IRL. That can cause too many problems if they break up. I think that was one reason they would never team Carly up with Lawrence before they were married. Same with Frankie and Billie. And wasn’t Brandon still on Days with Nadia (I think that’s where they met) when they first began dating? They never paired them up either. It’s just not prudent.
As far as I know, they were dating when Chad came on the show. They were a couple before he was cast as Chad. I read an article once about how although they were the same age, their characters were not put together so they didn’t have any scenes with each other. Now it looks like someone might have realized Melanie is the same age as Chad. She is the one character on the show that they’ve paired with older (not old) characters and it never worked for me. The pairing with Phillip was always off for me.
Brandon and Nadia = Shawn and Chloe. At the time, she came back to the show, Shawn and Belle were together. However, you forget Doug and Julie. They are married in real life and I think they met and started dating on Days and had a relationship on the show before they were married.
where MB and CD were no longer dating. I think Casey even said in an interview that they broke up, which means nothing in this business. Shelly and Jay dated in real life as well, but I don’t see where they were ever together or that it mattered whether they were or were not. They’re actors and paid to be so. If doing love scenes with another actor bothers them, then they should not be in a relationship with one.
I’m not saying they shouldn’t be put together because of having to be with other actors but how awkward it would be if they had a nasty break-up and still had to work together. That’s a good reason why you should never date someone you work with.
Yet that’s where I met DH#2. Although he was in his final two weeks of leaving the company before he asked me out.
When did this happen and WHY? I don’t get this turn of events. What kind of firend is Melanie–the girl who had such rigid morals with Chloe? It is hard to believe that she needs a man so much that she would steal him from Abby.
Is this going to be another triangle???? Don’t like this. Wish they let Dario stay, I lked him with Melanie.
Well Mel should understand Abby’s feelings for her dad. She has known him her whole life and he is her DAD. Melanie is super crazy about Daniel and didn’t know he existed until a few years ago. Remember Sami? Every girl wants her parents together, so it is natural for Abbwish for that, evenif it doesn’t happen right away.
I follow both actors on Twitter and they are once again dating as of since the daytime Emmy’s. They had broken up for a few months prior. *Spoiler Alert * One of them posted a picture of Chad & Melanie embracing in scenes to come…
