Christie Clark Back to DAYS
Soap Opera Digest has learned that Christie Clark (Carrie), who last appeared on the show in June as part of the farewell to Alice, was at the set today, filming again. The actress, who recently gave birth to her second child, will appear in early February.
Can’t wait to see Carrie back!
More Casting at DAYS
TV/screen veteran Frances Fisher (ex-Deborah, EDGE OF NIGHT; ex-Suzette, GL) has been cast as Gladys, Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) neighbor. She will first air in mid-February.
You may remember her playing Rose’s uptight mother in "Titanic", she’s a good actress!
December 3, 2010 at 12:32 pm #18702NoraParticipantI was just coming to post that about Cristi! you beat me to it! I hope she is back to knock some sense into Sami. I cant remember was she successful when she came back for Grand’s funeral?
Also looking forward to that Frances Fisher being Sami’s neighbor. Somehow I see her and Sami fighting over something. Gee…..I wonder why I would feel that way! Sami is so easy going! LOL.
December 3, 2010 at 2:01 pm #18704PattiParticipanther and Sami made up, and both seemed genuinely happy to do so. Of course, Carrie may have had a twinge of guilt because of Anna’s part in the Sydnapping. She even apologized to Sami for her mom’s part, even though she (Carrie) had nothing to do with it. I hope that Carrie will be there for Sami in a way no one else has been able to be. I’m also hoping that maybe, just maybe, Carrie’s return will be a precursor to finding Anna, and this whole mess will end, and yes, it is my fondest wish that Sami’s children are returned to her, with her and E.J. sharing custody, but that Nicole will once again have to give up trying to become Sydney’s mother. I’m predicting a new triangle, this time between E.J., Nicole and Brady, who lately I seem to have lost all respect for anyway. It’s way beyond time for both Sami and E.J. to come to the conclusion that their children are better served if both of their parents learn to co-exist as a family, and share the lives of their children, allowing Johnny and Sydney the best of both of their parents, but without the drama of using them as weapons against one another. I’m thinking that by February sweeps, this drama will finally be settled, one way or another.
I love Frances Fisher, and hope she doesn’t cause more problems for Sami. Guess that’s a wait and see, but Sami sure could use a "friend" friend and not just constant dependence on Rafe for everything. No one on this show seems to have a good friend to confide in …. that’s sad to me. That’s why I always liked it when they made Nicole and Sami frenemies instead of the way they are now. Talk about two minds thinking alike ….
December 3, 2010 at 2:15 pm #18706NoraParticipantNicole and Chloe are the closest thing to BFF’s we have on this show. and Maggie and Melanie, but that’s more of a mother daughter thing. now that Jenn is back we have Jenn and Hope back.
December 3, 2010 at 3:17 pm #18710BonbonParticipantI wonder how she’s going to play into things. Another leg in the Victor/Maggie/Vivian mess? Or maybe someone to give Kate a run for her money (Sttefano)?
And why are they bringing all these new women in, how about some hunky guys?
December 4, 2010 at 1:12 am #18718SWParticipantthe neighbor kidnapped Will and sold him to some French couple??? She had to marry to get him back.
December 4, 2010 at 2:37 pm #18722justwonderingParticipantUnfortunately. many custody battles are not civil. In real life, far too often, the children become pawns in their parents’ drama and one or the other doesn’t put them first. THis lead to much tension and hard feelings. I know from experience!!
December 4, 2010 at 10:56 pm #18733bluebonnetParticipantthey have a daughter together. She also played in Unforgiven.
December 5, 2010 at 1:00 pm #18740SWParticipantbring on "B or C or D" list actors instead of bringing back beloved characters? Those former stars (it seems that that is what most are when they hire on to do a soap as a way to jump start their career) must be costing them something – use it to bring back our faves instead! Sorry just my rant!
December 5, 2010 at 6:04 pm #1874453tdogsParticipantbring back John and Marlena instead – I could do without these characters that don’t have a history, a story line and I don’t want to watch for the little remaining time left of DOOL – if the contract runs out in two years – by investing time in watching a developing story of them. Give us people that we love and really care about – more stories for Abe, Lexie, Maggie, Victor, Stefano, Phillip, John, Bo, Hope, Marlena, Caroline, Kate, Sami, EJ, Jennifer, Will, Nicole, Vivian, Julie and Doug, not the Stephanies, Nath, Mel, Chadsworth, Gabby, new doctor (don’t even remember his name and don’t care), the warden, the prisoners, don’t care. And I’m not sorry about my rant!
December 5, 2010 at 6:59 pm #18746SWParticipantas she does have a huge history as a character on the show. I meant the former film/tv/etc ‘stars’ that they are bringing on as I’m sure "guest stars" just like Y&R did with Sean Young – she was a huge dud in my opinion and I’m glad she’s now gone.
December 5, 2010 at 8:09 pm #18748BonbonParticipantbudget wise. They can pay someone like the warden maybe $20,000 a year as opposed to John and Marlena who together probably get around $ 200,000 each a year. Four hundred grand pays for a lot of small potatoes.
As much as I’d love to see J&M back (oh, how I would!), I don’t expect it to happen unless things change significantly in the money department. And I don’t forsee that happening either. In the meantime, I like to see some new characters once in a while. I love Ben (just because I really like Ty Treadway, as I’ve already mentioned a gazillion times, but the warden and that other Bozo in the prison I could really do without. Carrie’s return…not so much.
December 5, 2010 at 10:23 pm #1875353tdogsParticipanta "working" actor again or have they amassed such a great fortune in life that as young as they are (58 and what is Marlena 61ish?) that they both never have to act again? I’m sure if they moved Ty’s SL faster and further along that he would become a favorite but it’s like we see him once a week for a 60 second line…what gives with that? Are they waiting for Christmas??? <being facetious here. Nah, Carrie’s return, same here…gone to long, not the same Days’ as it used to be. Even if they just brought back J&M once a week for a 120 second line – shoot! I’d be estatic!
December 5, 2010 at 11:34 pm #18754SWParticipantit was more in the 7 figure range for Marlena, not sure about John but I’m guessing it was a lot more than 200,000.
December 6, 2010 at 12:36 am #1875753tdogsParticipantyear or so ago? Think I read that on Daytime Royalty Online – after divorce and costs, etc. – So you’d think she’d work for less – I would have pasted the web site but I’m having ‘puter problems and the repair guy isn’t coming until Tuesday. Every time I cut and paste, I have to reboot. New security program is set just a bit to sensitive.
