Man, when Hope said Ben had already been released the needle on my BS meter went all the way to the right. Then the spring popped on it and the needle busted out the glass. Only on a soap could someone kill multiple people and get released after serving only a couple of years. They would get sent to a normal prison rather than being in a psych ward of one.
I just talked to my husband, who’s a retired lawyer, and he said they would be released into the public. The only other thing that could possibly happen would be going to something like a half way house for a while. But if he’s found now sane and no longer a danger to the public, he’d be out. Ben was found NOT GUILTY by reason of insanity. They can’t make him serve a prison sentence.
