The evidence of what is happening on this show grows after observations I made last night.
1. I thought all three first dances were lackluster and not up to their abilities. Strange that there are six nines issued but then when AJ and Karina dance, the fans favorite gets a much lower score. Almost as if to say, "Let’s shake things up again and let fans believe he might not be the shoe-in everybody is expecting after all."
2. Next, they come out for the freestyle and it’s before he dances, it’s announced Rob has never gotten a 10, and voila!…three of them. All three couples get great scores and the race is on again with things on a more even keel.
3. I can’t imagine last night’s show could have been any more successfully scripted. Oh, wait, it probably was. All I kept thinking after Rob got a perfect score (WAS that a "perfect" dance?) was Donny Osmond’s remark that it was entirely possible Rob could walk away with the trophy. Could he be right?
4. Whomever wins tonight will reinforce my conviction that this show is not as innocent as they would have us believe. I can accept a little tweaking here and there to enhance our viewing pleasure but, alas, I fear somewhere in the bowels of the arena, hidden in an obscure drawer or under a pile of costumes, there lurks a well-written, very iminagitive and thought out…wait for it…SCRIPT!
