I had never even heard of him and then all of a sudden he has his own talk show. What is his claim to fame or where did he come from? Is he an actor or what?

I believe he is an interior designer. He used to do segments on Oprah where he organized or redesigned a room in a person’s house as a surprise. I also beleive he lost his partner in the Tsunami.

Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Rachel Ray, and Ty Pennington. They did many appearances on her show and then they got one of their own!

Rachael and Ty were Oprah’s discoveries. Interesting. I don’t watch her show so that’s probably why I didn’t know about Nate.

Ty Pennington got his start as far as I know on TLC ‘s "Trading Spaces" and moved on to Extreme Makeover.

I was wondering the same thing as Bonbon. I only watch Days where daytime TV is concerned. His name meant nothing to me.

like it was eons ago (2000 to 2008) that it was on…the lady with the short hair Paige is on a furniture commercial for RCWillie. Ty, Vern, and Genevieve are still on tv. I miss funny Frank, the chicken farm guy…cute stuff but I wouldn’t want him to design a room for me.
