Whoa baby – Patti and PPaw, 2-0 on Bills, Pack and Ravs!! (sorry about that 1 point loss for Jags). This is the first time in Bills history they’ve won their opening first two road games. Patti, Lamar looks great – but like the Bills they need to face better competition to accurately gauge just how good they are. But hey, we’ll all take undefeated!!
September 16, 2019 at 3:32 pm #56115PattiParticipantwhen we have to face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs! Hope my boys are on their toes, but I’m pretty sure they will be. In any case, I wish the officiating were better this season. Some very questionable calls in our game with the Cards. Not quite the amazine performance compared to our win against the Dolphins, but no comparison in our last two opponents. Guess the operative words here are "our WIN!" Love Lamarvelous. Lord, let this boy stay healthy, PLEASE! So glad we are all off to a great start!
September 16, 2019 at 5:30 pm #56116powerpaw2ParticipantThe other half is fuming. Why would you run up the middle when it hasn’t been working for you all day? I feel like Maroon was sending a message that he didn’t trust the defense to stop the Texans were they to win the coin toss in overtime, nor did he trust the offense to match whatever the Texans did in OT.
I have to laugh because whenI see scores scrollingafor the Bills or Ravens at the bottom of the screen, I immediatelythinkofy’all.
Roethlisberger is out for the rest of the year and Brees will be out for a while too. Geez, they’re dropping like flies.
September 16, 2019 at 6:27 pm #56117caseyParticipantIf he keeps this up he could be in line as one of the all-time greats. Too bad for Big Ben – who knows if this might be it for him? An opening for another in that intriguing QB class of ’18 – Mason Rudolph. And Brees expected out 6 weeks. The Saints have been snake bit w/bad officiating again this year and now this!
Meanwhile the champ Pats look scary good with that receiving core of Edelman, Jordon and now AB – if he can stay away from league punishment. And the Dolphins – has any team looked more hapless?September 17, 2019 at 12:01 am #56118PattiParticipantthey have probably been our biggest nemesis from day one, and I know I use a playful but serious play on words when I call them the "Squeelers", but I seriously consider Ben Rothlisberger to be of the truly great legends of the game. I wish him all the best and success with his elbow surgery. I can relate since I broke my elbow in 2014 and went through a long and painful recovery. But we all know what they say … "the bigger they are, the harder they fall." I believe this is the same surgery that was a career ender for Terry Bradshaw. Hope that’s NOT the case for Big Ben! Also, hope all goes well for Drew Brees and the Saints.
September 17, 2019 at 1:40 pm #56122caseyParticipant3 times and even that takes months to completely heal.
September 17, 2019 at 1:42 pm #56123caseyParticipantwe know DM all too well. That’s all I’ll say on that.
The Jalen Ramsey situation is really unfortunate. What a great player he is and to maybe lose him.September 17, 2019 at 4:42 pm #56125powerpaw2ParticipantI broke my leg once which was bad enough. Have had surgeries on right hand and shoulder, left elbow, L4/L5 and some other stuff for various reasons. LOL, I learned how very right handed I am.
September 18, 2019 at 4:29 pm #56134PattiParticipantI know what you mean! My elbow was so shattered it could not be repaired; had to be replaced with a metal part, which I can definitely feel through my skin. Like to think I have a bionic elbow; but really it was because my surgeon was on the medical orhto staff for the Baltimore Ravens. Can ya’ believe it? LOL!
September 19, 2019 at 12:22 pm #56139powerpaw2ParticipantI guess you could really give the atomic elbow to someone. Did he at least give you a pair of tickets to a game?
September 19, 2019 at 1:25 pm #56140PattiParticipantEOM
September 22, 2019 at 8:45 pm #56166powerpaw2ParticipantPatti, what a roller coaster day for you. That was some catch by Snead in the 4th quarter!! I don’t agree with passing on all 3 downs after Snead got a first down for you. And what an awesome run by Jackson to score. I’m sure Ravens fans were holding their breath. He came so close to the 2 point conversion. That kid definitely has heart. From what I saw, y’all had a good chance of winning if it hadn’t been for penalties. I think they will rebound next week against the Browns.
Casey, congrats on the Bills’ W. Y’all sure have your work cut out for you next Sunday!
September 23, 2019 at 2:39 pm #56168caseyParticipantSunday. Already the fans are jacked up for it. Patti, no shame in losing to KC. I believe the Ravs will win their division (and glad the Bills could help out by ousting Bengals!). Now J Ramsey claims he’s got the flu and won’t practice all week? Power, what do the Jag faithful think of that? And congrats too on the Pack!
September 23, 2019 at 4:21 pm #56169PattiParticipantthe name of the game for this Ravens offense; and I like it…a lot! Of course, there’s going to be mixed emotions about it, but believe me, look for more of it to come. We were very effective on the ground. I just chalk that loss up to the Chief’s defense having a better handle on Lamar than either one of the two opponents we faced before them, plus our defense, although doing a good job, just couldn’t stop Mahomes, who just might be unstoppable. We also faced some poor officiating at times, resulting in penalties we certainly did not deserve, but hey, what NFL team doesn’t. I wish the NFL would start penalizing some officials for their bad calls as much as the refs penalize the players with their ridiculously incorrect ones. Irks the hell out of me. And yes, I’ll say it too, some of them could have changed the course of the game. Anyway, onward and upward is my motto.
Congrats to the Bills on their 3-0 start. These younger QB’s are the future of the NFL! Good luck to everyone next week. Roll over those Pats!
September 24, 2019 at 11:42 am #56171powerpaw2ParticipantI’m thinking he’s full of it. Would love to sit his ass down and tell him what it’s really like to have to go to work and deal with management who is abusive. And I’d love to fix some tumeric tea for him just in case he’s really got the flu. It’s my go-to if I feel like I’m coming down with something. Nasty stuff, but it works!
UPDATE for 9/24 – They said he reported to practice yesterday then saw the team doctor. Appears he has come down with something. I’d still love to have a talk with him! Supposedly his trade tantrum comes from Coughlin hurting his feelings after the Texans game.
