EOM
January 13, 2020 at 4:39 pm #56776PattiParticipantthe pain is "almost" gone, but my unending love for the Baltimore Ravens grows stronger every season. Now, all I’m thinking about is next season and how much we will improve upon the mistakes made in the Playoffs.
Looking forward to seeing your posts and hoping you will be joining us with your comments on the Jets when that time comes. Great to have you with us!
January 13, 2020 at 9:06 pm #56777powerpaw2ParticipantLol my neighbor was so happy the Packers won since Seattle beat her Eagles. Hopefully lessons learned from the beat down earlier in the season will be applied and the Pack will earn a W. How cool would a Packers-Chiefs Super Bowl be?! I’m dreaming of the interviews with guys who played in the first one.
January 15, 2020 at 8:28 pm #56786dvalParticipantI’m a Jet fan no matter what. hopefully I’ll be having better things to watch next season. here’s to a productive off season and draft and looking fowrad to September!
January 20, 2020 at 1:04 am #56799powerpaw2ParticipantWe’re only at halftime, but congratulations to SF and KC on making it to the Super Bowl. The Pack can’t do anything right and SF can do no wrong.
I’ll be pulling for KC as I’d love to see Andy Reid win the Big Game and I’m a Mahomes fan.
January 20, 2020 at 3:18 pm #56800caseyParticipantI never anticipated that the Packers could lay another egg to SF. Man, the Niners only had to pass 10 times!! How could the Pack be sooo bad trying to stop the run? There would seem to be some fundamental problem with this matchup. I feel so bad for you PP!
Should be a great SB though.January 20, 2020 at 3:35 pm #56802PattiParticipantjust going around in circles as to where our teams wound up at the end of this season. Glad it’s over and we can finally concentrate on the Super Bowl and our hopes and dreams for next season. I’m sure you know, Powerpaws2, that we feel your pain, loud and clear.
As for the SuperBowl, I have a different outlook. I know these are two great QBs but my heart is in San Francisco winning. I am opposed to some of the things that the Chiefs have gotten away with but screamed and threw up a lot of "jazz hands" in the refs’ faces when they tried to call their own penalties this year. Suffice it to say, I don’t particularly have a true respect for Mahomes. He’s a little too full of it for my taste. So, I’m rooting for Jimmy G. and those fantastic 49ers to win this year.
But, if truth be told, the only thing I’m really looking forward to in this year’s SuperBowl is the halftime performance. I’m sure you’ll knock em’ dead ladies! LOL!
January 20, 2020 at 8:46 pm #56804powerpaw2ParticipantThe O-line couldn’t protect Rodgers and the D-line couldn’t stop the run. Aaron Jones averaged 4 yards per carry, but the Pack fell behind so far so quickly which made Rodgers being relied on too heavily.
So the Three SPMD Football Musketeers (+ Dval) will regroup and hope the draft and free agency brings us better outcomes. I read the Jags are going to interview Jay Gruden for OC. The article also stated Scott Linehan (former Dallas OC) and Ben McAdoo who was ousted as Giants head coach have already met with Marrone. A little research showed McAdoo brought great improvements to the offense when he was Giants OC in 2014 and 2015.
I’m a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to music, so the halftime show will be my shower break. Hope y’all enjoy it.
January 21, 2020 at 3:15 pm #56808caseyParticipantdraft day. So interesting to see who moves up and down and the unexpected picks. Likely the Bengals will take the promising LSU QB Joe Burrow and the Bills are on the hunt for a top receiver. Free agency looms big too. What will Brady do? I am certain he will not call it quits and says he’s ready to talk turkey with other teams. Many though believe he will ultimately stay put in NE. I hate to see every football season end but enjoy March Madness for college BBall.
January 21, 2020 at 7:26 pm #56813powerpaw2ParticipantApparently he has relatives here. Tampa Bay perhaps? But then there’s talk of them keeping Winston. Should be interesting with Rivers, Brady and Brees all being free agents.
January 22, 2020 at 3:13 pm #56814caseyParticipantfamily man with I think 7 or 8 children – one under a year. He would go to heroic lengths to see them during the season when they lived quite far from the stadium. So his relocating to FL, I agree, perhaps indicates something brewing there. The Buccaneers do have a quandry regarding Winston – 30 TDs but 30 interceps. While Rivers an aging QB with a bad season behind him might be good with a team that could demote Winston as the season unfolds. I can’t see Rivers retiring just yet? This is going to be a fascinating off season.
January 22, 2020 at 8:49 pm #56819powerpaw2ParticipantHopefully he’ll be more creative than DiFilippo.
