OMG – how many commercial breaks could there possibly have been until their conversation ended the show and, of course, left us all hanging still! I think I counted six – maybe seven! I don’t have a DVR and as I was washing dishes decided to watch it. I think today’s show just broke me of ever doing that again. One scene, half a conversation to leave you hanging, go to a commercial, over and over for an hour. It’s maddening. I’ll read it online. Just how many minutes are actually in a "one hour" soap?
40 minutes of soap, 20 of commercials.
Not only that, I hate the way they keep jumping from one storyline to another. Yesterday is was (1) Nicole and Eric, (2) Rafe and Jordan, (3) EJ and Abby and (4) Nick and the girls. We just see a little snippet then they switch to the other scenes. Grrr… Except for things like Eric at the retreat. OMG, how many times could the two of them say the same thing over and over and over…for THREE days no less.
I remember the day when you had 2, may 3 commercial breaks before returning to the program you were watching. Now, it’s about 7 or 8, and those damn pharmaceutical commercials run over a minute long themselves. It used to be you barely had time to get up and pee during a commercial break; now you have time to make lunch. It’s annoying as all hell to me.
the never-ending commercials. I just watched Wednesday’s show and it seemed like there were way more than usual! If I watch the show live, I have to mute the commercials because they are so irritating.
My DVR has a wonderful 30 second skip button. The first set of commercials have six clicks on the skip; the rest have either 7 or 8 clicks. Gotta love the DVR.
