Why is everyone so upset with Nicole? EJ, Stefano, Lexi, and half of the clan is so upset with Nicole for "hurting" Taylor. I just don’t understand that (besides the plot part of it). Nicole is the one who is married, all be it for business, to EJ but they are all acting like Nicole is the one who is causing EJ to cheat. Oh, wait, I think I just answered my own question. Taylor is the wronged one because she and EJ both actually want to be together and Nicole is "in the way". This one is just gettting too silly for words.
May 17, 2011 at 8:59 pm #23768PattiParticipanthow long is it going to take for E.J. to snap. He almost did today. She as much knows there’s not a lawyer or judge in the land who a DiMera can’t but or have recused, and she certainly knows that if Stefano ever finds out she’s blackmailing E.J., nothing and no one will save her from a fate I unfortunately find she deserves. She stands to lose everything by playing the heavy with E.J. DiMera. I like Nicole, but I don’t have much sympathy for her predicament. I never, ever thought I would say this, but E.J. was right when he told her today that he realizes that she’s had an abusive childhood, and that it no doubt made her the lying, scheming, blackmailer she is today, and that she certainly is not without sin in their marital/business arrangement. That’s Nicole, and that’s the only way she knows how to roll. She’d better be careful, though, because she is taking the role of the black widow spider, who eventually kills and eats her mate, much to seriously. She can demand all she wants that they be a match made in heaven in public, but Nicole appears desperately pathetic to me right now, and not too far from deserving of what’s coming her way ….. and that’s BEFORE Sami gets wind that she knew what E.J.’s plans were when she entered this marriage of convenience, which was to cut Sami and Rafe completely out, and become the mother to the child she stole from Sami in the first place. No, sorry, but my sympathy went out the window for Nicole as soon as she switched baby Grace for baby Sydney, because she wanted Sami’s child from E.J., and Johnny just happened to come with the package deal. Careful, Nikki, "something wicked cometh your way" and it rrrrrrrolls it’s rrrrrr’s and quietly gets it’s rrrrrrrevenge, and you are not a threat to it now, nor will you ever be.
May 18, 2011 at 3:30 am #23777justwonderingParticipantI look at this story much differently than you do, Patti.. I love anything that makes EJ miserable, cause if anyone deserves it he does. He had had the upper hand for too long and it is his time to face the only consequences he can. I always felt that Nicole wanted Sydney because she wanted EJ to raise his child and that wouldn’t happen if she was with Sami. I don’t agree with what she did, but it was done for EJ’s benefit. When EJ thought that Sydney wasn’t his child, even though he had raised her from birth, he threw her away. So I have no concern for EJ.
I agree with Jesigirl22 that Nicole is the wronged person. Yes she accepted the business arrangement, however EJ lead her to believe that it was more and that she had a chance for a real marriage (mainly to spite Sami). Everyone feels so bad for Poor Taylor– she is the one carrying on with a legally married person.
I applaude Nicole for sticking it to both of them.
May 18, 2011 at 10:42 am #23780BonbonParticipantI like the way Nicole is manipulating EJ and really enjoy their scenes when she’s "sticking it to him." She is just so smug and he is just so miserable. So, in a sense, I kinda feel sorry for both of them.
But…and it’s a BIG but…what’s going to happen when Sami comes home? Since she knows the complete story (whereas Nicole only knows that Rafe was held prisoner, not switched) Nicole’s hold over EJ will be gone, over, fini, kaput! That’s when I’m going to start worrying about Nicole’s well-being.
I have not an inkling of where this story will go or even CAN go. It seems to me that Sami will use her leverage to get sole custody of the kids which leaves both EJ and Nicole out in the cold. And that will leave EJ free to pursue his revenge on Nikki. Patti, I don’t think it’ll be Stefano to go after her unless you know something the rest of us don’t. I know you keep up on the spoilers where I only know from what I read here.
I guess we’re all going to have to hide and watch, huh? Whatever, it’s going to be interesting.
May 18, 2011 at 11:23 am #23784PattiParticipantYET …. and that’s all I know about that right now. It is, to me anyway, highly unlikely that this story (which, by the way, has me glued to my sofa right now) will continue on for however much longer without Stefano eventually finding out that E.J. is being blackmailed by Nicole. I’m thinking the whole thing being blown out of the water will somehow involve Vivian Alamain, Kate, and even Sami and Rafe once all of the puzzle pieces start to fit. Vivian knows that the DiMeras were holding someone in a cell in the basement, but not who because the DNA was classified. Nicole was the one who fished the crumpled paperwork from the trash after Vivian chucked it thinking it useless for her plans, and it was Nicole who took the initiative to have it de-classified and that’s how she knew it was Rafe being held prisoner. Slowly, she started to unravel the puzzle pieces concerning Rafe Hernandez’s sudden change of personality and consequently his disappearance. I think when E.J. has had it with his life of misery caused to him now by being in a loveless marriage with Nicole, but loving her sister, that that’s when he will share his misery with Stefano, and things might then start to look pretty bleak for Nicole. Of course, like all of my ramblings, this is pure speculation —- but I hope they keep this one going for a while, because there are so many others affected by this incredible story line. Personally, I don’t want Nicole or E.J. to win, and they can be miserable together for the rest of their lives for all I care. They both truly do deserve each other.
May 18, 2011 at 2:14 pm #23787mommytutuParticipantEveryone acts like Nicole is the bad guy. Excuse me–isn’t this EJ’s and Taylor’s fault. EJ shouldn’t have married Nicole if he was so in love with Taylor and Taylor shouldn’t have cheated with her sister’s husband, regardless of the circumstances of their marriage.
May 18, 2011 at 2:21 pm #23788DeeLanParticipantHaving been the wife of a man who wanted someone else I can understand and I applaud Nicole. I too wanted revenge and I got it.
My ex was 27 and carrying on with a 16 year old high school student on a student work program where he worked. I should mention he was also her supervisor. I found all the little notes she wrote to him about telling her parents she had to work later to spend time with him. Sneaking him into her bedroom when her family was asleep. I made copies of all the juicy notes and wrote a letter to her parents. 2 days after I mailed the letter I called him over to give him his copy. I could have reported him to his employer and gotten him fired but I felt I’d let her parents deal with him in any way they saw fit.
May 18, 2011 at 2:42 pm #23790NoraParticipantWow Deelan. Thats revenge! Way to go! I would have love to have seen the look on his face!
May 18, 2011 at 2:56 pm #23791maxineParticipantIt’s about time for someone to stick it to EJ.. I am glad Niki is doing it, let him feel that some one else has his life in thier hands, like he did when he told her to stop seeing Brady and when he decided that Sami’s love for Rafe was not what HE wanted , so it only right that someone should decide who he should be with.. Now that he is in LOVE and wants to be with the one he loves he think things should go back to the way they were..sorry it seldom works out that way…. Niki sick it to him as long as you can
May 18, 2011 at 6:21 pm #23803luckeyParticipantthe consequences could have been had you told his employer? He could have gone to jail for a very long time! You were a lot nicer than most people would have been.
May 18, 2011 at 6:30 pm #23804luckeyParticipanthow the Dimeras will stay out of jail for what they’ve done to Sami and Rafe. Yesterday’s scenes of Sami and Rafe talking about the reality of what happened to her in going to bed with a total stranger didn’t seem to be showing them taking this as serious as Sami normally would have in the past. What I expected was for her to go balistic when she realized what EJ and Stefano did to her…putting her in a situation that could possibly be considered a rape by this Rafe2 guy. But, they didn’t go there at all. Do you think this might become an "a-ha" moment somewhere down the road when more people find out what’s been going on? Do you think that Bo and Roman might eventually get involved and Real Rafe may pretend to be Fake Rafe to reel in the Dimeras? If that happens, then there will have to be some kind of criminal justice for what they did, won’t there?

May 19, 2011 at 2:42 am #2381753tdogsParticipantDeMansion for at least a little while with her revenge. Yes, I still like Stephano and EJ as bad guys, but I so want to see them not be able to wiggle out of the mess that they make of the Salemites lives – for once I’d love to see them get what they have wrought on others over the years, heck, practically everyone in Salem has been hurt by them at one time or another…payback is going to be a biggy biotch! I say "Go get ’em Nicole!!!"
May 19, 2011 at 3:16 am #23806majencoParticipantThat is by far better than any story I have ever seen on Days! Good for you! Sorry you had to deal with that though.
May 19, 2011 at 11:42 am #23821PattiParticipantof the S.P.D., it’s how the DiMeras, and anyone else who we, the audience, know committed the crime and gets away with it …. they can never find any real evidence …. all they have is either circumstantial or winds up being stolen or tainted …. they never have anything solid that will hold up in court; and, if they do and they manage to hold onto it, then there’s always the bought and paid for judges or lawyers or fake eye- witnesses. Sometimes it pays to commit crime in Salem …. and the DiMeras are proof of that. Maybe Sami had the right idea after all …. just shoot the bastard, only next time keep your eyes open and aim straight. No one will ever put these people in jail. Even if they do, chances are they’ll be out overnight. No, that’s not the way this is going to play. I have alway believed that the only way to exact revenge on a DiMera is to play by their rules and open up a can of whoop-ass on them once and for all, and I think I know just the person who’s going to do that. The justice I see for Sami is to have Rafe convince Stefano, E.J., and Nicole that he is really Rafe2; get whatever form of proof he needs, and then sit back and let Rafe, the FBI agent, take them down. Either way, I’m tired of so many crimes going unpunished. The writing has been so much better this month, I have to hope it is continued and that this storyline breaks the golden rule of soap operas, and somebody is finally held accountable for their sins …. and for the sins of the father as well.
