a cartoon character for me now. But that’s OK. She’s never been my favorite, but she does get interesting lines: sweet tart, gum drop. LOL
April 30, 2010 at 8:28 pm #12602BonbonParticipantFor some reason my DVR decided not to record Days today. Why does it do that? It records every other day, I haven’t changed anything, even another program. Is it haunted? Or is God punishing me for something? Guess I’ll have to go dig it up on the internet somewhere and watch. I saw the last 10 minutes but that was it.
April 30, 2010 at 8:38 pm #12603bluebonnetParticipantMine will occasionally do that when the DVR is full of recordings. I have to go in and erase shows that I’ve been meaning to watch, but have left there way too long.
April 30, 2010 at 9:41 pm #1260453tdogsParticipantwork only every other day…did you call Dish or cable co. and tell them? I would try and reboot it first by unplugging it (that sometimes helps the DVR reset). Good luck! I’d fill ya in on what happened today but I haven’t watched it yet. Luck with the DVR Bonbon!
April 30, 2010 at 9:56 pm #12605BonbonParticipantAll they can do is bring you a new one and I’ve got lots of hours on of things I haven’t seen yet that I’d lose. Technology…grrr…
April 30, 2010 at 10:11 pm #1260753tdogsParticipantand shows by having a DVR crash and burn before…the cable people just say "oh, well they are mostly refurbished (from when previous customers bring them back), so after last year when I had to go from Dish to cable and on my third DVR that wouldn’t work, I insisted that they bring me a new one or I’d terminate my two-year contract due to their breach and figure out away for Dish to be installed. It worked and haven’t had a problem since.
May 1, 2010 at 12:27 am #12608mshults60ParticipantNothing like my old vcr—still works fine except when I forget to set it!!! It is so sad that we have to keep replacing technology all the time. I know my days with the old equipment are numbered so I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts.
May 1, 2010 at 10:59 am #12609BonbonParticipantso that can’t be the problem. I should use my VCR too, it’s much more reliable, but it’s just such a pain to switch back and forth.
A friend of mine has the AT&T U-verse and says it’s the greatest thing but it’s not available in my area. I live in a new development and I guess we don’t have the proper lines to accomodate it. I was going to get DirectTV but when they came out to install it they wanted an extra $250 for each connection (I have four) to run the wires up in the attic. WTH! Did they think I wanted wires running all over my walls and ceilings? Installation is supposed to be free but they pointed out the small print where it says "normal" installation is free. What a racket. I hate my cable company but I don’t feel I have any choice.

May 1, 2010 at 3:19 pm #12614mama_freeParticipantI really like Nicole, too.
May 1, 2010 at 6:04 pm #12617PattiParticipantit’s like watching a boxing match and trying to keep up with the punches. I’m happy to see Ariana giving as good as she gets with Nicole … so much better than the needy, wimpy style we’re used to seeing with the women of Salem. Now, if they could screw Brady’s head on right, he might be interesting to watch, too. He needs to quit the mixed signals he’s sending to Nicole and to Ari, and make up his damn mind. I think he loves both of them, but sooner or later he has to make a choice. Ariana knows it, too, or else she would have ran off and married him when he asked her. Maybe she’s just giving him enough rope … we’ll see … but I really am enjoying the sparring match between Ari and Nikki.
May 1, 2010 at 6:42 pm #1261853tdogsParticipantand takes no guff! I hope the writer’s don’t change her – she’s not conniving for conniving’s sake – nor is she devious. Brady doesn’t know what a good thing he’s got with her – he’s drinking the water in Salem just like the rest of the Salemites with their idiocy if he can’t see that and he goes for Nicole (witch!) instead. I hope Ariana comes out on top and kicks Nicole’s keister literally and figuratively!
May 4, 2010 at 7:56 pm #12680devorrahParticipantWell I have watched Nicole from her first scene. No other character has ever lied as much as she does. She is a psychopathic liar and because she is beautiful she always gets her way. I really don’t understand how Brady or Chloe could even speak to her at all. She and EJ actually deserved each other because they were both similar people in that they will lie like they drink water. Neither of them has morals of any kind at all. You can’t feel sorry for either of them because they are both despicable. However, I will positively state that both actors are quite amazing in their abilities. I guess I am just completely tired of Nicole and I guess of Sami too because they are both overused in the Days storylines.
