The JPL version came across as sleazy. I looked at his filmography and the only thing I would have seen him on is The Mentalist. Maybe he will be fine, but I was hoping Jay would come back.
I am not impressed. Not only does he seem sleazy, I really didn’t like his demeanor.
I also remember him as Farah Fath (Mimi’s) real life boy friend on Dirty Soaps. All I remember is she had surgery and he was a real a** to her. Don’t care for him at all.
the characters of Philip and Brady are too similar. I liked that they put a scene with them together right off the bat to kind of differentiate their personalities. I don’t mind Philip being a little sleazy, but I did not care for his hair. It looks dirty and unkempt. It’s hard to picture him in a suit and mansion with that hair.
Sorry, but that thin stringy hair look combed back is bad. I can’t even begin to imagine what I’d think if I were a hairstylist. My OCD runneth over. I couldn’t focus on dialog, just his hair.
on the original Phil and at first glance am disappointed. I understand the writers want him to be a more ruthless type and yes, looks like they are getting that. But the original Philip had a charm about him and a killer smile. We shall see on this guy as time passes.
….not to mention those adorble dimples and the twinkle in his eye!
Anyone know what Jay’s doing these day and if DOOL tried to get him to come back?
I like JPL. Admittedly, he does look entirely different than he did on One Life to Live, but I think it’s an improvement for him. There he sort of looked like a "dweeb" (is that a word?), but now I think he looks sort of ‘rugged-sexy’, much more matured since his OLTL days. I’m partial to a little longer hair on men, so his hair length is fine for me, just a little too much gel, which is what I did not like about Greg Vaughan’s and James Scott’s hair as well. I like a longer but loose, natural look to a man’s hair. And I love his smile. Guess it’s all in the eyes of the beholder!
I didn’t like him at all for the way he treated Farah so I guess I won’t like him as Philip either. I wasn’t overly fond of the other one so it didn’t matter much to me who replaced him but now, when I see this dude, all I’ll be able to think of is what a sleaze he is IRL.
