Yeah I don’t like her. I think the actress is fine but the way they are writing her is annoying. She is too pushy and her panic attacks are annoying. I can’t drum up any sympathy for someone who wildly vacillates from broken and fragile to pushy and aggressive. I think Chad has better chemistry with Gabi.
She runs hot and cold and this is not endearing her to viewers. But since Days wants to make competition w/Gabi I suppose it wouldn’t fly if Abby were too sympathetic yet. I hope we see a stability at some point when we can better gauge her character and her chemsitry w/Chad as well.
I mean Kate’s Abby was sultry/sexy/vixen-ish….. this Abby is frumpy/whiny/debbie downer. It’s a case of the character being recast and rewritten. We’ve seen it before with Austin. Muldoon played him as a tough street boxer and Peck’s version was a dopey nitwit. It happens I guess lol
because the actress just doesn’t do it for me; she doesn’t look like Abby, she doesn’t come across like Abby, she doesn’t sound like Abby, and she certainly DOESN’T have any on-screen chemistry with Billy Flynn either. He is just so damn good and she’s just ‘okay’ for me. Big disappointment in the part of Abby for me. Marci Miller is just an attractive face, but nowhere NEAR Kate Mansi, who now seems to have spoiled the role for anyone who dares to try and top her. I think MM is just trying too hard to be someone she’s not. Top that with lousy writing and I can see where some, including me, would rather see Chad with Gabi right now.

Its a shame because I think under different circumstances I’d like her, just not as this Abby.
the NuAbby actress, especially after watching Kate Mansi’s performance in her Lifetime Movie Sunday night, "Boyfriend Killer". Not only is Kate extremely beautiful, but her acting in that movie was "outstanding." This new actress (MM) has a nice face, but they need to put some makeup on this girl, and darken her hair color to make her look like she’s more alive. A better shade of lipstick might help, and her clothes are just horrible. Nope, sorry, I miss Kate so much in this role, and I’m not even a fan of the character, but Kate made her vibrant and her acting was superb. Plus, MM will never have the chemistry with Billy that Kate had. Sorry, I’m sure she’s a lovely girl; just not Abby Devereaux for me!
today at the dinner and I personally would rather see a darker makeup rather than change the hair color. She has a beautiful shade and texture of hair. ITA she’s no Mansi but it’s probably unfair to compare. However, as I recall many of us did not thrill over KM at first and it was only after the drama of her character tanked up that we saw her acting chops.
I did actually think the dinner was romantic. A rare romantic moment on Days when they’re connecting and not just jumping into bed together. I actually thought that scene was done well. I figured any minute they were going to ruin it with Gabby walking in, but they didn’t. (I would like to see a little more eye make-up on Abby).
I was actually pleased when Abby came back and Chad was angry. He didn’t just forgive her immediately. Also nice that he’s currently being honest with Abby and Gabby and not sneaking around. I did start to think he was laying it on a little thick though, with comments like "I’m done with people that fake their own death" or something like that. A dig towards her after he found out about Stefano. She is (or was) mentally ill. He knew how bad off she was before she disappeared. I understand him being angry, but he was being a little cruel. Not sure where the sweet spot is between that and Jennifers coddling.
I’m only saying this because I literally have no eyebrows, but this girl needs eyebrows! If I don’t put any on, my youngest daughter tells me I look like a nightmare. NuAbby needs eyebrows! It’s very hard for to detect emotion in her face because she doesn’t have any and on top of that, the lip color they put on her makes he look like she has no lips. Someone please fix her makeup!
Am I he only one who remembers so many people saying how much they hated Kate Mansi"s acting when she started as Abigail? She was vivified for her antics with austin and EJ.
People mocked her for her performances with EJ in the shower. Now she is everyone’s favorite !
I hope that everyone doesn’t continue to complain about her and not give her a chance much like they did with Will and Ciara!! They never stood a chance even though they did grow into the role. Lets just give her a chance.
