Why is all of Salem so concerned about the paternity of Chole’s kid? I understand Chole and Phil’s obvious interest, but beyond that, why does everyone else care so much? Steph is pyscho over this, Carly acts like she has to oversee every secret in Salem, and now Kayla feels she has to get to the bottom of it.
Hey folks, it’s not your Biz!
It just irritates me that so much focus/energy is poured into this overused storyline.1. because the writers don’t know how to write any other major story line than "who’s the daddy"
2. since #1, the writers have to interject all the characters in Salem into that SL so they make every body in Salem give a rat’s hinney about "who’s the daddy"
3. I was trying to figure out how many times (in my 20 years of watching) has there been a who’s the daddy story line? Chad/Stephano, Lexie/Stephano, John/Hope/Stephano, Lucas/Sami/EJ, Phillip/Pocket, Phillip/Chloe/Daniel, Bo/Hope/Patrick, Shawn/Belle/Phillip and on and on and on….
don’t forget john/ roman/ marlena (when belle was born). wasn’t there jenn/ jack/ patrick as well? seems like almost every baby has been a who’s the daddy….
I believe that was Hope Bo and Patrick (Ciera) don’t forget little JT oh and Lexie/Theo/Brandon or Abe
other than Chloe and Philip, are the ones drawing the most attention to it. Chloe is surely not the first, and certainly, or positively, won’t be the last to not be sure who her baby’s daddy is. By now no one should be giving the subject another thought. Everything seemed to be settling down, Chloe and Daniel are happy, and all is right with their world. But, nooooooooo, because insecure psychos like Stephanie, and plain ole’ nosey-Rosies like Carly and Melanie, and jealous ex-lovers like Nathan, can’t just go on with their own problems. Each has their own agenda why they want the switched paternity test exposed, and it’s got nothing to do with whether or not Daniel is the father. Aside from the fact that they don’t even know who the father is, their own selfish agendas are more important to them, and that’s what makes this story-line just a little bit different than so many of the other WTD storylines. This one has an umbrella effect that could possibly hurt a whole bunch of other people. That’s why I hope Kayla is right and that it was a simple computer or human error and someone (like Sister Ann) detected and then fixed it, and by the time that happens, Stephanie will have a complete meltdown and spend the rest of her days resting …. in Shady Pines. Melanie will leave Philip (yeaaaaah) and she and Nathan will live happily ever after (hopefully someplace other than Salem), Carly will spend the rest of her days butt-kicking herself for keeping the secret from everyone she thought she was protecting and who now can’t stand the sight of her, and Philip will return to the House of Kiriakis and together he and Brady will run E.J. out of town on a rail. (Sorry, just had to throw that last part in).
i think i was thinking of colin murphy, though now that i realize that, i can’t really remember if there was a who’s the daddy with jack jr. i found info that patrick helped deliver jack jr, so maybe that is why i was thinking of him as a who’s the daddy with jen….
and, though not really who’s the daddy, there was the "who’s the mommy" with kate/ vivian/ victor (for phillip) and the whole mess of cassie and rex.
