please don’t tell me we’re going to have another "who’s the daddy" storyline with Chloe. Of course we, the viewers, remember that Philip couldn’t get Belle pregnant (was it ever determined that he was actually sterile?) but will the writers remember that? I doubt it. Anyway, that’d be hilarious if two people who can’t conceive a baby end up actually having one. OMG!
And can we endure another storyline with Chloe looking at Daniel with her sad puppy dog eyes saying, "Oh Daniel, I’ve done something terrible and you’re going to hate me forever." No, no, put bamboo under my fingernails but please don’t subject me to that!
that Philip is the father: Phil would be the kid’s father and brother-in-law? Melanie would be the step-mother and half-sister? Daniel would be the step-father and step-grandfather-in-law? Chloe would be the mother and step-grandmother-in-law?
Yikes, that settles it! This kid better be Chloe and Daniel’s! lol
Let us not forget that Julie is both Hope’s half-sister AND step-mother.
In Salem, the family tree is a stick. The family tree does not fork.

If Days forgot that Phil lost a leg (and apparently the actor has forgotten too), then surely he can suddenly regain his fertility.

The rate they’re having people who can’t get pregnant or father kids insurance companies should pay for infertile couples to relocate there as part of their treatment.
but if she does, I hope it’s Daniel’s. Philip didn’t care enough to keep the child he had (Pocket) – at least Daniel appears to really want the baby – although I would love to see Philip and Chloe squirm. Actually, though, I would be surprised if this pregnancy survives.
Unfortunately, the writers are idiots and can’t think of an original story to save their lives, thus another who’s the daddy storyline. Only in Salem do more pregnancies end up this way than anywhere else. This is why Days never wins an Emmy. Because this ding-a-ling writers use this same old tired and worn-out story at least twice a year. It’s redundant and shows a lack of creativity, thus no Emmy EVER!
I’m thinking that since Chloe is now in a VERY similar situation to Carly now (being pregnant with what will likely be another man’s child) and with how Carly ended up… Carly will probably keep her mouth shut.
You KNOW what both Chloe and Phil are thinking… "Oops, what if?"
Of course Daniel is blissfully ignorant.
This child’s survival will be integral to the storyline, so she’ll probably remain pregnant for a year or two (!!) and Phil will be wanting to claim his DNA and will probably be all over Chloe to get a paternity test, but at the same time, not want to let the proverbial cat out of the bag and ruin his marriage – so there’s a potential source of conflict and angst for Philly-boy for the next 20 years or so…
Anybody wanna bet that’s how it goes?

with your comments on how the SL is going to go…I’m not betting against you on this one at all! Typical Day’s story line…shall we start mouthing the dialog now for Chloe, Daniel and Phillip since it’s going to be so predictable?
…just FF through all of the Phil/Chloe/Daniel scenes after the first time Chloe talks to either guy, because for the next 9 months (and probably after the baby is born) the dialog will be the same. Sort of like the last few weeks:
– Phil/Chloe – Phil: "Don’t tell him, just get married" Chloe: "I must tell him"
– Chloe/Daniel – Chloe: "Oh, Daniel, I’ve done something terrible and you won’t love me anymore" Daniel: "Oh Chloe, I’ll always love you, let’s just get married"
Now it’ll be:
– Phil/Chloe – Phil: "Don’t tell him" Chloe: "I must tell him"
– Chloe/Daniel – Chloe: "Oh, Daniel, I’ve done something terrible and you won’t love me anymore" Daniel: "Oh Chloe, I’ll always love you, we’re having a baby!"
I know she’s Doug’s wife but never understood how she called Alice "Grandma". Who’s her father??? I came to Days later than some of you because I watched Another World until it ended. This is one question I’ve never heard resolved.
