Back to Redemption Island, that poor guy. But…I gotta say that last night I realized what an idiot he is. If he chooses to participate in a game that requires him to out-wit and out-play his opponents, he’d better let God know ahead of time there’s going to be some deceipt and back-stabbing from him. I really think he deserved it. And he was so right when he said he wasn’t very good at playing the game. Not very good? He downright sucks at it.
And Boston Rob really clenched the deal for me last night. They can’t vote him off fast enough as far as I’m concerned. He proved what a snake he is and I thought it was extremely uncalled for to be making fun of Matt and the others for their religion. He says he goes to church every Sunday? I don’t believe that any more than anything else that comes out of his mouth.
April 7, 2011 at 2:01 pm #22495MKParticipantRob needs to go now, especially now that the tribes have merged. They should’ve taken him out last night. Rob is a much bigger threat than Matt. Have they not seen him play the game before? Stupid. I must have missed the part when Rob made fun of Matt for his religion.
I felt really bad for Matt but like you say, he deserved it in a way. To go and tell Rob what he was thinking of doing was the kiss of death! He seems like a really good guy. Since he is not good at playing the game (except at challenges) maybe his best chance of winning is to stay on Redemption Island. That way, he is not interracting with people and being so blatantly honest and loyal to those who don’t deserve it. So what seems like a bad thing may work in his favor if he keeps winning challenges. May be a blessing in disguise!
April 7, 2011 at 5:55 pm #2251053tdogsParticipantchatting with him, but alas, not the case. As for Rob, I hope he swims with the fishes…
April 8, 2011 at 11:50 am #22529BonbonParticipantMK, Rob was making fun of three of the players because they were discussing reading the Bible and talking about their faith. It was just after they returned from the challenge and were sitting around the fire. He had such a smirk on his face I just wanted to slap him. Up until then, I was kind of pulling for him because, you have to admit, he DOES know how to play the game, but that show made me do a 180° and now I hope he gets blind-sided with his precious immunity idol still in his pocket.
The only problem is, if he goes to RI (Redemption Island), he is so good at playing the game, he’ll probably ending up beating everyone else and returning again.
April 8, 2011 at 12:52 pm #22530caseyParticipantRob’s tribe considered him some kind of god. Like the incident with the rice – Phil just wanted a spoonful of the one kind and the tribe all gathered round and insisted no, we have to save it for the pack leader Rob. Geesh, don’t these folks realize what a threat Rob is?? I do acknowledge his value in challenges but that’s gone with the merge.
As for Matt, for a guy in pre-med he’s a duffas in other areas. He didn’t keep his mouth shut (didn’t he learn the first time around?!) and back to RI. After all his efforts in those duels, odds are he’s in for a loss.April 8, 2011 at 1:37 pm #22534BonbonParticipantthat Rob is going to be voted off, go to RI, and then continue to beat every opponent he encounters until he can finally go back into the game. If that happens, I’ll be convinced that the producers are "influencing" this game. I have very huge suspicions as it is.
April 8, 2011 at 1:51 pm #22536MKParticipantThanks for telling me what happened, Bonbon. I recorded the show at 8:00 and watched it at 9:00. Sometimes I fast forward parts of it so I must have fast-forwarded them talking about religion.
I really, really hope that Rob goes to Redemption Island next (though he’ll probably play the idol if he thinks he’s in danger) and that Matt beats him. That would be awesome! These players are so stupid. Rob has not only played the game a few times before, but also is very good at it so why have him around any longer.
April 8, 2011 at 2:10 pm #22538PattiParticipantand I also think he loses when he wants to lose, or feels it’s not necessary to win, especially now that there’s individual immunity. I think he has the rest of the show all planned out, including if he’s sent to Redemption Island. He is a sneaky dog, and I have thought that from the first time I saw him. He knows exactly what he’s doing at all times, and the fact that he has all of these other people fooled, including what their new name means (something him and Amber made up about all her animals —- gag me, please), shows he cares about no one. And all of these stupid people, including Julie, who I have a high amount of respect for, fell for it, hook, line and sinker. I just hope somebody takes him down or they all get together and break the spell he seems to have them under, and take him down and then out. He’s a real dog.
April 8, 2011 at 3:42 pm #22550BonbonParticipantup until the merge because he was good at the team challenges. But now that it’s every man for themselves, they’d better realize its time for him to go. Every day he stays is going to be a knife in somebody’s back.
If they vote him off next week, I don’t think he’ll have a clue and use the immunity idol, unless…he picks up on something being said around the camp or unless some idiot (like Matt) blabs to him.
April 8, 2011 at 9:51 pm #2257453tdogsParticipantonly on the show for the way the bikini looks on them, not because of their brains – I don’t think most of them could find their way out of a wet paperbag.
April 8, 2011 at 9:56 pm #2257653tdogsParticipantratings…the more drama that the show (PTB) generate, the more dollars in advertiser money.
P.S. Regarding Rob, when he threw that piece of paper into the volcano – the Earth Day people should have thrown him in too – just an observation of blantent littering…
April 8, 2011 at 10:02 pm #2257953tdogsParticipantlet these players come back for two or three times? Ratings I know. But you mean to tell me on a planet of 6 Billion they couldn’t find more interesting characters than Rob and whats his face who got voted off earlier?
I say give a Marine in Iraq who’s done six tours over there and is humble, yet strong (they are all good looking) a vacation and put him on AI (even with some of his brothers as a team) – now that would make for interesting t.v.! I would laugh my a– off at Rob competing with a 6’4" tough combat Marine – Rob would just puddle himself.
April 9, 2011 at 11:57 am #22602BonbonParticipantin Lord of the Flies wearing a bikini!
Yes, they always seem to pick the girls/women with the perfect little hard bodies. Even the older ones. But then, they guys mostly look pretty good shirtless too.
You want to hear something funny? When I was overweight I always wore a one-piece bathing suit. The other day I thought, well, I’ve pretty much got my figure back and I have a very long torso so a two-piece (NOT a bikini though) is usually more comfortable on me, so I tried one on. OMG! Talk about a "muffin top"! There may not be much fat there anymore but there certainly is a lot of extra skin. I guess my "bikini days" are over for good. <sigh>
April 9, 2011 at 8:13 pm #2262153tdogsParticipanthaving kids, every day life stuff, have to put away the bikinis (unless you have 8 foot fences), the it’s a law of gravity and aging with grace…
