What if Eric’s fall from grace is a result, not of Nichol, but of Kristin and him actually falling in love with her? It happened to Brady and, you have to admit, he was really in to her. Now THAT would definitely be a shocker. And, can you just imagin how that would affect Marlena, Brady, Sami, John, Roman and Nicole? Man, that would destroy the entire family!!!
July 12, 2013 at 9:45 pm #40346PattiParticipantof a very powerful drug/cocktail that certainly would not affect the way he feels toward Kristen when he is in his right mind. He genuinely dislikes her and knows how much she hurt his family. I could never see him actually falling for her. No, I think if Kristen shows that tape during the presentation of the opening of the new school, it will either cause Eric to be so disgusted with what he believes he did, that he will leave the priesthood on his own, since he will feel he betrayed not only his calling but God Himself. He will never be able to forgive his self, even if the truth comes out. But Kristen will have succeeded in destroying everyone she perceives as her enemy, especially Marlena. She is one sick b*tch, but ED sure plays the part with the superior talent and drama it requires. I am getting so sick of her, though! LOL!

July 13, 2013 at 2:13 pm #40360justwonderingParticipantSome things should not be explored and this is one of them. To actually rape a priest and then manipulate the footage to appear it was consentual is worse than the Sami/EJ rape story.
Why these writers would go this route baffles my mind! Eric was the one character on this show that was pure. it is disgraceful that this was done to him. To make him think that he broke his vow is sinful.
I always felt that EJ was pure evil. He has been replaced by Kristen. She is so consumed by revenge, she cannot see that she is destroying herself.
July 13, 2013 at 2:48 pm #40362mommytutuParticipantSorry,but I don’t know why this show thinks it needs to have a rape every couple of years and then make like its not that bad. I hate it! They didn’t want to call it rape with EJ and Sami and now they’ll try to call it something else with Eric and Kristin. It’s sickening!
July 13, 2013 at 10:10 pm #40363caseyParticipantwith pushing the boundaries. We’ve seen gay sex, characters getting violently beaten, people being slapped, drugged sex, and now this distasteful drug and rape of a priest.
I do believe some things should remain sacred and off limits and this is one of them. I do believe Days now sees its identity as the soap that “double dares.” And with the show’s recent awards I don’t anticipate any letting up.July 13, 2013 at 10:53 pm #40364BonbonParticipantthat this is a TV show and the subjects they are showing are no different that what we are seeing on primetime or in the movies. I think the reason people are offended is because we’ve known these characters so long they are like our friends and family members and we certainly wouldn’t want these things happening to them. But they aren’t and it’s not.
As long as we keep that in mind, I don’t think there should be any outrage against the show. After all, TPTB are looking for things that get us talking. And these do.
