Watching today’s show and just thought that was too unbelievable. Also wouldn’t his arm be stiff by then ? Just had to comment
October 13, 2014 at 9:37 pm #45555cjwestParticipantWe really don’t know how long it had been since EJ "died". Probably wouldn’t be in rigor yet. All the actors did well with their lines today. The kids moving around Sami at the end was a little too on cue, not natural looking.
October 13, 2014 at 10:05 pm #45556lynnekarenParticipantand wasn’t stiff for a while. I got to the hospital about an hour after and we stayed with him for about 2 hours after that and he wasn’t stiff.
I’m sorry to be so graphic.
Based on the time, I’m guessing it was probably the same amount of time with EJ. I thought it was totally believable, she was so grief stricken. Just heartbreaking. I sobbed.
October 13, 2014 at 10:41 pm #45557PattiParticipantfrom the actors to the lighting to the direction, EVERYTHING! JS did a fantastic job of appearing dead (if he is), not a ripple of eye movement in his closed lids. Have to admit, I cried my heart out today.

October 14, 2014 at 7:32 am #45563BonbonParticipantI thought the same thing. That reaction was too adult for them. Maybe first one hugging her and then the rest following but not all at once like that. But I did like how they only showed it but we didn’t hear what Sami was saying.
As for EJ having rigor mortis, that goes away after a while and the body becomes flexible again. But because it begins 3 – 4 hours after death, it had probably not set in yet…I would assume.
Another anomaly (other than Sami being in there alone) is Kristin getting into the morgue. Morgues are typically very secure places. And, unless an autopsy is in progress, bodies are not left out in the open like that.
October 14, 2014 at 10:13 am #45564KseeParticipantthat EJ looked like he had a big ole smile on his face while he was laying there
October 14, 2014 at 1:48 pm #45565dvalParticipantthat didn’t bother me, LOL. When my mother-in-law passed the way they had her mouth she looked like she was really ticked off (even her sister commented on it). THAT bothered me! And I guess she was because the day after the funeral my tv set went, the next day a burner on my range stopped working and the third day my dryer stopped working.
October 14, 2014 at 1:51 pm #45566GoldenDaysFanParticipantBut then again, growing up in THAT family, they had seen and heard a lot. I would think that being mature early would be normal in the situation.
I am more interested in how the fluid Kristin was injecting in E.J. would get around his body since his heart wasn’t beating and hadn’t for a while. If they bring him back hours after his heart has stopped, his brain will be mush. But this is a soap, not real life.
