and tell him to man up. I am so thoroughly disgusted with Jen blaming herself for everything and basically begging JJ to forgive her for where he is at now. He says he done with that family? Good, tell him to get his own lawyer and jacket (what a joke THAT was) and proceed with his life as he sees fit. Jen doesn’t have the slightest iota of what tough love entails. Instead of her saying “I love you” when she left, she should have said, “I’m done with you too!” (BTW, I wonder who’s paying JJ’s phone bill, is he driving a car around, what’s he eating?)

He consistently is throwing her lying to him in her face. Uh, Mr. Pot (no pun intended)? This is all in the past, isn’t it time someone thinks about where to go now and what to do? Anger management is the least of this kid’s problems. He has severe mental problems that aren’t going to be solved by a couple of cups of coffee with Marlena. I know they’re probably going to screw up the rest of this story royally.

And Daniel, isn’t your head black and blue yet from beating it against the wall?

but she’s constantly reminding herself of the “old” JJ, the child, JJ, and that’s what she can’t get out of her mind. So now she is willing to put everything (including Daniel) aside or risk losing her son forever. She will be determined now to focus her attention on helping JJ. I can see how it would be very hard to turn your back on your child, but, in JJ’s case, that’s exactly what everyone in Salem did, at Jen’s instructions, and now she thinks, “yeah, and look where that got me,” so I can see her more determined than ever to save JJ from his own self. How she does that will certainly not be overnight, but if she has to destroy that village in order to save it, then I think that’s exactly what she will do.

JJ was sent to boarding school and not Abby? Was this Jack’s idea? Jenn is sooo focused on her little boy I’m surprised she let him go in the first place. And why wasn’t JJ resentful years ago and acting out if he was so attached to his beloved daddy?
It all seems so over the top behavior for an 18 year old. This is adolescent stuff except for the rape, which I would understand could rattle anyone.

I really don’t think the JJ ever really knew his father. They went oof to England (when they akk keft the show). Jack was doing some reporting there (I think). Abigail was much older but I thought they both went to boarding school. JJ had very little interaction with Jack. We all know that Jack was always going off on adventures or was being killed off so all JJ knwo about dad was what he heard from family. Family usually talks about the good times.

How exactly do you tell your son that dad is a rapist?? It really can’t come up in casual conversation. Now that he know this, it is time for him to realize that his dad like most people was human and made mistakes. The problem was letting him make Jack bigger than life.  Jack wasn’t a good father, period!!

It is time I feel for JJ to wise up and take responsibility for his doings. If he doesn’t want help from Jen, he can get a public defender!!

much like an alcoholic.  They can’t be helped until they are ready to accept it.  JJ is not.  He can not see the error of his ways and until he does, nothing is going to happen.  That is why Jenn needs to wash her hands of him and tell him when he is ready to accept help from her and his family, let her know.  Until then, there will be no contact.  THAT is what tough love is about.
