Does anyone know the dates for the Olympics? I’m almost looking forward to the break from Days.
January 12, 2022 at 10:23 am #58063bluebonnetParticipantI read that Days will be off (preempted) Feb 4- Feb 20.
January 13, 2022 at 8:53 am #58064mommytutuParticipantThank you!
January 13, 2022 at 4:31 pm #58066zodiacpisces1971ParticipantWhat makes anyone think the Winter Olympics would happen, given that they had them last year, can you really see them putting the Winter Olympics in play a year after that had the previous Olympics ?
January 14, 2022 at 8:47 am #58067mommytutuParticipantLast year was the regular Olympics to make up for the 2020 Olympics. These are the Winter Olympics. I’m not sure what your point is, I’m just kind of looking forward to not having Days on to torture me. I’m not watching the Olympics either. I’ll probably just stick to Hallmark movies.
January 14, 2022 at 3:13 pm #58069zodiacpisces1971ParticipantI understand that last year’s olympics was to make up for the 2020 Olympics, but that’s not the issue, what I’m getting at is who would have the stomach to have the Olympics, one year & the Winter Olympics the following year. They can’t have Olympics, one year & then the winter ones the following, especially with where Days’ ratings are now, do they really want to keep allowing them to tank by not allowing it to be shown ?
January 15, 2022 at 8:20 am #58070mommytutuParticipantWell, you better read up, that’s what’s happening. NBC thinks they appeal to someone, but I seriously doubt they do. Personally, I’m surprised the US is even sending a team to China. That would be the last place I’d go right now.
January 15, 2022 at 3:36 pm #58071zodiacpisces1971ParticipantThe next question is this: Do we really need two consecutive olympics, one year & the other the following year, no matter that one of them was shown to cover the one that was never shown, given that was 2 years ago ?
January 16, 2022 at 8:22 am #58072mommytutuParticipantDifferent sports. The one coming up is only winter sports, so I guess someone thinks they need two.
January 17, 2022 at 5:13 am #58073zodiacpisces1971ParticipantIt shouldn’t matter if they are different or not & it doesn’t matter that one was to cover the one that wasn’t shown two years ago or not, what matters is that with where the ratings are for this show, do they really want to have them tank more by not showing this show for the winter games ?
January 17, 2022 at 7:01 am #58074Misty004ParticipantI think the show is breathing its last….they are doing their best to tank it. The story lines are beyond ridiculous. I skip most days now. No enjoyment to watching it at all. Nothing good happens everything is bad and so out there that it makes no sense. I hope they do shut it down so that we can remember it as it was once and not the ridiculous stuff that is going on today.
January 17, 2022 at 8:16 am #58075mommytutuParticipantI just posted on their Facebook page about how awful it is. I’ve been watching since I was 4. My mom is almost 90 and has watched it from the beginning. Every Sunday we talk about Days. This weekend I had nothing to say. I had ff’d through so much of the show. It was so bad that I chose to skip it. My mom watches in real time and suffered through the week. It is a waste of time for anyone to sit through this awful show.
January 17, 2022 at 8:31 am #58076Misty004ParticipantYep Totally agree! I have been watching since the beginning and the show is so far away from the wonderful entertaining soap that it was that it is unbearable to watch. I ff through most of it now.
January 17, 2022 at 4:34 pm #58077zodiacpisces1971ParticipantI don’t think that this is the last year for the show. I have read that they have renewed Days of Our Lives for this year & 2023. The question that I have, why are the ratings where they are now if the show had been renewed for the 58th season ?
January 20, 2022 at 12:27 pm #58089jesigirl22ParticipantYears ago, the winter and summer Olympics used to be the same year. Forgot when but the changed it so we would have an Olympic every other year but each one would still be every 4 years. They, like everything else, got knocked out of sync. Unless things blow up, they will have the Winter Olympics on schedule. This is when they were supposed to occur, seems off since the summer games were delayed a year.
