Yeah, that Ravs one was a stunner. This season is just off the rails with the oddest teams coming to the fore, multiple penalties and high key injuries, bringing more backup QBs into the game than I ever recall. And flukey stuff too – the Bills’ Rex Ryan incomprehensibly did not see two bad calls that could have changed the outcome had he made a challenge. He said he didn’t even see what the CBS cameras showed on tv – I swear the Bills have been gipped out of two possible victories.
December 4, 2015 at 1:51 pm #49919caseyParticipantThat last play was one for the ages. AR throwing it not only 60+ yards but a mile high. What a finish and what a comeback and what a birthday gift for the QB. Detroit played it all wrong to their detriment – that one has to hurt bad. BTW, GB got away with that “non” facemask penalty, though as the refs said in real time it did look like a grab.
December 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm #49922PattiParticipantwhat a fantastic game. Congrats to your team powerpaws2. Spectacular finish, and I could certainly relate to it. Same penalty we got in our game with Jacksonville…grabbing the facemask of the quarterback at would would have been a game ender. Glad the Pac was on the other end of that penalty. That being said, the keep-away as the final play was the real excitement for me. Rogers to Rogers to put the ball in Aaron’s hands, then a 60-plus yard throw into the end zone to the other Rogers to score the winning TD was one of the most exciting plays I have seen in years. WOW…..JUST WOW!!!!!
December 5, 2015 at 1:49 am #49943powerpaw2ParticipantKrav Maga class wore me out and I was passing out on the sofa. I woke up this morning and had group text messages from some guys in VA. I had to turn on the TV to find out what happened.
Yes, the facemask was marginal, but they are doing everything to protect QBs. I have seen other calls like it as well. The truth is he did make contact with the facemask and these days it’s going to be called 90% of the time. I think Aaron did a good job of selling it as well.
December 8, 2015 at 4:28 pm #49977PattiParticipantI’m happy for you casey, as for you powerpaws2…hope one of you go all the way. Screwy season, but the NFL better shake up, or wake up, whichever, when it comes to these refs. They are ruining the game. Taking that touchdown away from us cost us the game, and it was blatantly unwarranted. Our season is over, so good luck to both of you and your teams.
December 8, 2015 at 5:14 pm #49979caseyParticipantThe Bills will need plenty of help which seems doubtful as Pittsburgh looks strong and KC has a cheesy schedule. But I do like how Taylor has progressed and maybe finally we’ve found a decent QB.
December 9, 2015 at 2:06 am #49993powerpaw2ParticipantThe Pack has to play better on both sides of the ball or we won’t make it through the first round of the playoffs.
I was working in VA when Tyrod was playing at Tech. Glad he is starting to really perform well.
December 28, 2015 at 1:35 am #50220powerpaw2ParticipantAt least one of us has something to cheer about. The Pack played terribly today! Aaron was sacked EIGHT times. Geez!
Casey, at least the Bills didn’t get shellacked.
December 28, 2015 at 2:07 pm #50224caseyParticipantThey’ve certainly shown cracks this season and will be watching the GB/Vikings game upcoming. And Patti, didn’t see that coming (and neither did Steelers!) – so now Pitt has to win their final game and weirdly enough they need the Bills to beat Jets. This will be a toughie with the Bills totally decimated on D. If not for a boatload of injuries this year I think we’d be looking at playoffs.
December 28, 2015 at 4:56 pm #50226PattiParticipant(no disrespect—that’s just their nickname here in Baltimore) no matter what our situation is. Baltimore and Pittsburgh have always been one of the greatest rivals in the NFL, so even though it did us no good, I was glad to see the Ravens back on their game. Too bad we couldn’t find this quarterback earlier; might have been a different story for us. Always nice to be a bit of a spoiler at times though.
December 28, 2015 at 8:44 pm #50228dvalParticipantI want to thank you for beating Pittsburgh, LOL
December 28, 2015 at 10:13 pm #50231PattiParticipantbecause this puts the Jets one game up on the Steelers in the fight for the playoffs; but. the Jets almost blew it when they allowed the Pats to tie the game and force the OT. In any case, glad it worked out for them in the end.
December 29, 2015 at 1:53 am #50238powerpaw2ParticipantSo many thanks to your Jets!
Casey, we are rather beat up and I am nominating Jordy Nelson for team MVP even though he never played a down in regular season. Aaron really misses him!
December 30, 2015 at 5:27 pm #50256PattiParticipantSteve Smith, Sr., just announced he will RETURN for the 2016 season. This makes my day!!!!
