Yes I do read all of your comments and I remember the one about the Broncos.( I do not post often but I read here everyday) sometimes twice.. Thanks ! good luck to us.
January 13, 2014 at 2:13 am #42337PattiParticipantgreat game, but a little too close for comfort for you, I would imagine. In any case, your Broncos are one step closer to the Superbowl! I’m happy for Peyton. I don’t know how many years he has left (he’s 37), or even if the Broncos will beat their next opponent, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (Ouch), but he’s certainly going to go down in NFL history as one of the greatest (some would say THE greatest) QB’s to ever play the game. Kudos!
January 13, 2014 at 1:40 pm #42338caseyParticipantThey kept trying to ineffectively run the ball even into the 4th quarter when they desperately needed points and had Phil Rivers at QB. I know the so-called weakness of Denver is against the run but SD was going against its strength (plus being down running backs) by not letting the dangerous Rivers loose. Once they did that, you saw the Chargers storming back. But just too late.
CBS is really going to hype the Brady/Manning duel!
January 13, 2014 at 4:05 pm #42339PattiParticipantThe Chargers offense waited until the fourth quarter before they decided to show up for this game, and it ended up costing them against the somewhat surprisingly ineffective Denver Broncos, and I only say “ineffective” if you compare this game to the ones that got them in the playoffs in the first place. Although, they (the Broncos) were facing a highly revved up team who had the dubious honor of having already beaten them this season, the Chargers fell short. Now, Mike McCoy’s team will head home while Peyton Manning and the Broncos advance to take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. So here we go….the final four….and now, the real fun begins (for some, I guess).
January 13, 2014 at 5:11 pm #42340maxineParticipantCasey and Patti your both correct, Denver showed up the first half and the chargers did not , if we do not start doing better than we did yesterday WE will be the next team OUT. and yes I was having all kinds of headaches in the forth Quarter, but a ‘Win’ is a win and we will take it but on any given Sunday someone will loose so the Broncos will have to PLAY the game better than they did Yesterday. But I am still very excited with the Win.
January 14, 2014 at 8:41 am #42348BonbonParticipantwhen the Niners are holding up that Vince Lombardy trophy. :o)
January 19, 2014 at 7:57 pm #42408PattiParticipantof the Broncos/Patriots game. I’m expecting a thriller; hope I’m not disappointed.
January 20, 2014 at 12:29 am #42410maxineParticipantA very good game, I am so excited !!!! one more game to go … so proud of our defense , we have been loosing very good players every week and each week someone else steps up to the plate, Now to see who we will play.
Still wanting Seattle to win but they are behind now.January 20, 2014 at 10:32 am #42411BonbonParticipantNot much to say except, maybe next year.
January 20, 2014 at 4:35 pm #42420PattiParticipantand to you Maxine. I don’t see the Seahawks beating them in the SB, but you never know. Of course, the Patriots, like the Chargers, came too late to the show to pull out a win; but, I never doubted Peyton Manning and the Broncos wouldn’t be able to out-play them. Broncos took their running game away, and Brady was really off yesterday. Good luck in the SB!
Must admit, I was sorry to see the 49ers go down, but I don’t think Colin Kaepernick is all that he’s cracked up to be either. Guess he can kiss his biceps good-night til’ next year. LOL!
January 20, 2014 at 5:09 pm #42423caseyParticipantbut just lost too many key players to overcome Manning and Co. at home.
January 21, 2014 at 2:00 am #42435maxineParticipantThanks Patti, I hope we take the time and get some of our hurt players back on track, Our defense is really hurting , but we are only one game away they only need to do it ONE more time.
