ParticipantThe promotion of the Chinese meal was so blatant! They even did a close up of the package!

ParticipantI just watched it and had to get on here and see if anybody else saw it. It was a full blown commercial within the show. Very Blatant.

Participanthappy horizon future for it getting any better soon, this may be the wave of the future for commercials…I never sit through commericals (except for the doggie commericals even my poochies "watch" them), I either FF’d, grab something to drink, or let the dogs out…

ParticipantI guess they gotta do what they have to, but do they have to make it so blatant? They should just keep it in the background like other movies/shows.

ParticipantThey cook and serve food! Caroling would never have to resort to frozen meals. When Caroline was just standing there at the bar, holding that bag, I cracked up, because it was so blatant. Then when she started making her shpeel, and Sami and Rafe chimed in, I couldn’t stop groaning!

ParticipantI was thinking the exact same thing…really cheesy display of the product and in The Brady Pub? C’mon writers…I can see Sami or Melanie fixing a frozen meal..but in a restaurant? Pathetic!

ParticipantI know they have to do it and times are tough but I was embarrassed for the actors. Yech.

Participantthat this past summer with some products like Midol, etc.? If they’d just put the product in the back ground even prominently displayed in a ten minute scene so you focus on the actors but see the product – OK. Or even like all those subliminal messages supposedly placed for a 24 milliseconds on t.v. that we are not consiously aware of that the advertisers do anyway, OK.
Just don’t be blatant about it or do it so dumbly – if the actors feel bad and embarrassed – what about us poor fans that have to sit through it? Now I’ve got to think, when our characters walk into the Pub, I used to think they’d spill some dark lovely secret, but now I’ve got to worry about them whipping out chow mein and having a three minute conversation about it???
That makes me want to deliberately not purchase the product!

ParticipantI thought it was ironic that Caroline who runs an Irish pub would cook Chinese. THat was so hard to swallow. I agree that it would have worked better if Sami or Melanie did it at their home. Or how about Chloe they love Chinese and she doesn’t cook!!!

ParticipantPuh-ha! Ha! Haaa! I don’t blame you. Usually, when folks FORCE products down my throats (in the fashion DOOL does), it makes me NOT want to purchase the product.
