I am so happy that Patricia got to stay! I could not believe she had to work with Richard again and she had to spend a lot of time teaching him things. I thought that was unfair that she got him again. I was hoping that Little Miss Conceited, Layana, would have to work with him. She looked mad that she did not win. I did not like her top at all. I really did not like any of the outfits. Stanley did have a more versatile look but he was not very nice to Tu.
I am glad that the judges recognize Patricia’s talent and like that her designs are unlike anything that they have ever seen before. And I think she has a really nice way about her. I was shocked that Michelle had to go home and prove herself. She has been in the top a lot. She got over confident and did not follow Nina’s instructions. But I was still surprised that happened. Next weeks previews does not show her at all. What do you think will happen?
April 6, 2013 at 10:07 pm #39091bluebonnetParticipantI think some of her creations are questionable. I’m not pleased that they are giving Michelle a second chance. Why did they even eliminate her? How does this make the other eliminated contestants feel? Do they get a second chance? Michelle has created some nice pieces, but so have the others. Her attitude is terrible–her ego is almost as big as Layana’s. Michelle thinks she is better than everyone and says so! And, when the runway was over, she told the other contestants not to touch her. What was that all about? But, back to your question…I can’t imagine what the show has in store for her other than just put her back in the competition. I also noticed, MK, that Michelle wasn’t in the previews for next week. Hmmm….
April 6, 2013 at 10:17 pm #39092caseyParticipantmight be a way to throw viewers off the track. I do not like that woman. When Patricia tried to congratulate her, she backed off and huffed, “I don’t want to be touched right now.” She just has a nasty attitude.
April 6, 2013 at 10:53 pm #39093BonbonParticipanther attitude is going to kill her second chance. I think she’s going to get the axe at the beginning of the next show for some reason which is why we didn’t see her in the previews. She was pretty huffy when she walked off. I’m glad she’s gone but I have to say, some of Patricia’s stuff was really dumpy. I think he’s a hit and miss kind of designer. I thought her last dress was horrid.
But as far as Michelle not being touched, she did mention that once before, that she didn’t like physical contact. But she was kind of rude the way she said it.
But what flabbergasted me was that Richard didn’t know how to make a French seam and is always used when using a shear or lacy fabric. That is a very basic seam and even taught in high school home ec.
April 6, 2013 at 11:37 pm #39094PattiParticipantover the last couple of shows. I think his work is beautiful, very tailored and well made. I loved his outfit this week. I do think Michelle is very good, but she knows it and sort of "rubs it in" where it’s not necessary. What I don’t like about her is that she’s TOO sure of herself. To go against a judge of Nina’s stature, who specifically requested she not show up with pants and a tee-shirt design, no matter how elegant she tried to present it, was a huge no-no for her, I would think. It made her appear, to me at least, that she thinks she knows more than the judges. If she does get another chance, she should remember that.
April 7, 2013 at 1:30 pm #39097caseyParticipantEveryone is saying he can’t sew and he is the wimpiest guy. I have no idea what his style is either because he lets everyone take over.
April 7, 2013 at 6:37 pm #39106maxineParticipantI think the reason she did not want anyone touching her was she was going to cry if she got hugs.(lots of people are like that .. I know I am ), although she is a good designer, I think she needs to learn that as a designer you give the customer what they ask for not what you want them to have , so I agree she does need to change her attitude.
April 8, 2013 at 1:22 pm #39115MKParticipantI’m not fond of Michelle either. I’m sure she was mad and shocked that Patricia was "in" and she wasn’t. I was pretty surprised myself but I was happy that she was knocked down a peg. She is a good designer but she thinks she’s better than everybody else and her know-it-all attitude got her into trouble this time. I think this is the first season where I just did not get attached to any of the designers (with the exception of Daniel who I love!). I do like Patricia and some others but just don’t care much for these people this time around.
