I could not believe that Kate got eliminated last episode. What a joke this show has become. Not only was she NEVER in the bottom the entire season (except for the last episode), she was always in the top three or so. The judges are so inconsistent. I remember in the first episode, Helen made this awful gown. It was very poorly constructed and it was not fashionable at all. It was hideous and she got to stay while the black woman (can’t remember her name) made a perfectly fine dress and got the boot.
Kate deserved to stay. Week after week she produced stylish, well sewn garments and had proven herself to be a top designer. Helen even said to Kate that if it wasn’t for her, she (Helen) would not have made it that far. I don’t like Helen; never have, never will. Kate is a genuinely nice, caring person as well as a great designer. Her exit was classy and touching.
I took the show off of my DVR. I may watch the Fashion Week episode, but that is it. Usually an elimination doesn’t bother me so much, but this one did as the judges are ridiculously inconsistent.

And, Alexandra’s outfits have been consistently worse than Kate’s throughout the season. I don’t know what the judges were thinking when they elimated Kate and kept Alexandra.
October 2, 2013 at 7:24 am #41238BonbonParticipantthe more I see how manipulated they are. It was either Reader’s Digest or WSJ that had an article about “What Reality Shows Don’t Tell You.” They flat out said they influence the outcome and edit conversations and scenes out of context to add to the drama.
DWTS convinced me of that this week when they had Derrick Hough in the bottom two. No way did that couple get less votes than all those other dancers.
I think the same with PR. They decide far in advance who will stay and who will go. I’ve said many times before, I wish they’d base these shows on talent (or whatever they are on the show for) instead of ratings. I want to see who is the best singer/dancer/manipulator/designer/ entertainer/talent, etc. on the show, not who they think is going to draw in the most viewers.
October 2, 2013 at 2:10 pm #41239PattiParticipantI thought the bottom two were Bill Nye and his partner, and Christina Milian and Mark Ballas, with Bill Nye going home.
October 2, 2013 at 2:51 pm #41241BonbonParticipantnot Derrick. Thanks.
October 11, 2013 at 3:04 pm #41322PattiParticipantso glad Helen is OUT! She thought much more of herself than I ever did. I think the same held true for the judges. Maybe she will learn a little humility from this elimination.
Moving on are the ones who deserve to be there, IMO. Can’t help but root for Justin and Brad, although in my heart and soul, I think the winner will be Dom. Alexis’ work is too much of the same for me, although what she does she does well.
October 11, 2013 at 3:53 pm #41323MKParticipantSince I’m still not watching it, I was curious to see who got the boot and was so glad to read it was Helen! About time! I still won’t watch the show since Kate deserved to be there and the judging has become too inconsistent. I’m pretty surprised (but happy!) that Justin is still there since he got voted out once before.
Are they going to narrow down the 4 to 3 for Fashion Week?
October 11, 2013 at 6:25 pm #41326BonbonParticipantAlthough I like Dom’s work, I think I prefer Justin’s all over. But I’ll be happy for any of these three.
BTW, wasn’t that white "tube"dress absolutely amazing? I loved, loved, loved that dress.
October 11, 2013 at 10:34 pm #41329PattiParticipantAlexandria, Bradon, Dom and Justin.
October 18, 2013 at 2:59 am #41380PattiParticipantI just knew Dom would win this. Actually, all 4 collections were spectacular, but I must admit that I was rooting for Justin. Well, all 4 of them are practically guaranteed a great career in fashion. Congrats to all!!!
October 18, 2013 at 1:34 pm #41391annieoParticipantI was getting worried when it came down to Alexandria and Dom. A’s just too weird and her collection, although interesting, was definitely geared to a very punk-type audience. Her speech as to why she should win was over the top. "It’s my time". But then again, I couldn’t pull off Dom’s looks either – I sometimes think the designers and judges think anyone over the age of 30 (and that’s probably pushing it) should dress in Alice Horton clothing. That being said, Thursday night TV has really turned into a hard choice. We do not have a DVR (although I just explored that possibility last night and decided it wasn’t worth $24 extra dollars a month) and my VCR died so I was stuck with the dilemma of what I wanted to watch at 9 pm – I opted for White Collar, knowing that I could watch Grey’s online, and then kept flipping back and forth at the commercials to see Project Runway. But here’s the question I really came on to post. Why does Nina never get off her chair? All this season, when Tim brought the models in to show off their clothing, she sat in her chair while everyone else came and looked. She did the same last night. What’s up with that?
October 18, 2013 at 6:30 pm #41392BonbonParticipantI never noticed that. I don.’t mich care for her. She always has that "My poop don’t stink" look on her face.
