Wasn’t she cavorting with Mickey Horton – not the John Clarke Mickey but with another actor they brought on to play Mickey? If she was, where was Maggie during this time? I can’t remember the story line there. I always liked Judi Evans in the Adrienne role much better than the Bonnie role. And I always loved Justin and Adrienne together. The good ole Days.

Bonnie was swindler. Hubby left her and kids. Mimi was a teenager, she said they lived in a cardboard box or tent. A charity built Lockhart family a home. Bonnie went after Mickey for his house and money. Maggie, at the time, was supposedly murdered by the Stalker, but she wasn’t really dead, she turned up on the island with Tony (who was alive after Stefano left him there). Bonnie almost got Mickey to the alter. She turned Maggies beautiful restaurant into a honkytonk bar and Sean was bartender. Then Maggie came back to Salem and ruined her plans. Mickey wavered between Bonnie and Maggie (which made most of us fans mad!) But Mickey knew Maggie was his true love. Bonnie got the shaft, but she got to keep the bar (for awhile). She got to be as bad as Kate mettling in her kids lives and tried to strike up a romance with Roman. (Poor Roman – he never gets the girl). Which was probably good for Roman under the circumstances, because a skeleton in a basement ended up being her husband who’d left her. Last I remember she was running a Christmas tree selling scheme and had a cute dog (Max)…but can’t remember how she left Salem or why.

March 23, 2010 at 9:18 am #11469SWParticipanthad killed him. I can’t remember why. It was so weird as the first "Bonnie Lockhardt" and her husband were very normal people who just were poor due to the husband being unable to find work. That was when habitat build their house. Then they brought Judy’s Bonnie on and she became a tramping gold-digger.
March 23, 2010 at 1:55 pm #11471annieoParticipantThanks for the info. I really had it confused. I’m thinking "Mimi" is Bonnie’s daughter? Then some of the storyline started coming back. Steve & Adrienne were brother and sister. Steve was unrelated to Bonnie. When they bring back the same actors/actresses and put them in different roles, it hurts my brain. I loved the first Roman and when they brought him back as just totally weird with Marlena I really disliked him.
March 23, 2010 at 2:07 pm #11472luckeyParticipantfor a very brief time with Bonnie. I remember many of us on Jenn’s old message board were horrified by the way they were writing John’s Mickey character. We were all thinking that he must have felt the same way because he retired very soon after they put Mickey and Bonnie together. That’s when I remember John Ingle coming in as Mickey.
March 23, 2010 at 2:38 pm #11477DeeLanParticipantYes, I remember reading recently that one of the main reasons John Clarke left that role was the way they were taking the character.
I just hated that they re-wrote history when they brought Bonnie back. Mimi grew up in a loving family and had a normal childhood except for when her dad lost his job and they were living on the streets then the Habitat for Humanity house that all the teens helped build. To have the family suddenly become dysfunctional, the mother a lush and con artist and dad an abuser and deadbeat didn’t just re-write one character but an entire family’s history.
