As of today’s espisode guide (which I haven’t watched show yet), it said Rafe has joined Salem PD. I’m sure he got good references from the FBI, but I’ll wager he is not a "uni", he will be a dectective. Last I understood, in real life that is a promotional position, (in most cities, counties and state law enforcement) but like I said, I haven’t seen todays show yet. Wonder if it is just the "p" poor writing from the writers or is it nepotism from Bo and Roman?
But good to know he is at least holding down a job now with 4 (Sami, Will, Allie, and himself) to 6 mouths to feed and put a roof over their heads, not to mention Sami’s tastes in personal accomodations and lifestyle.
Bo has appointed him a TEMPORARY Commander/Detective for the Salem P.D. in hopes of him solving the believed wrongdoings at the prison, which Bo now suspects is definitely some sort of crime going down. So, it was not Rafe’s doing, it was Bo’s to have Rafe lead the investigation due to his FBI background.
And I did mention that nepotism was involved – so yes, it would be Bo’s doing. There’s not another dectective on the Salem PD force that can take care of the "prison" body parts thingy? Not a one?
seen the show today (or will by tonight) except for my friends in Hawaii and Guam – so it’s not a spoiler (not intentional anyway), I’m just speculating on how Rafe got the job. Either that, or he was going to come up very rich some how and not have to work, just like every one else practically in Salem including Sami with all her kids over the years, (except for Lucas and EJ’s child support).
I could see the handwriting on the wall that he would eventually join the SPD, the second he quit the FBI job the first time, when he became a carpenter for all of two hours. All those kids cost a lot of money to raise, with food, clothing, toys, college, etc.
I’m glad Rafe got a job, making it all the more believable, (since his savings from the single life and former FBI job must have run out by now), that he is taking care of Sami’s children, even if he did get the position handed to him on a sliver platter by Sami’s uncle.
When was this discussed cause I must have missed it? THe first this was mentioned as far as I know was today and I didn’t hear anything about it being to help with the prison.
As far as his being a detective, since he was a field agent in the FBI, I think it would qualify him to go in as a detective and not a patrol officer.
If it was mentioned earlier, I missed it too. Suddenly, he is going to work for the Salem PD. I happen to think he will fit right in with the rest of that hapless bunch. Also, just a little more nepotism.
I really liked Rafe until he became another one of Sami’s victims.
