I think there are two important happenings that have been kind of swept under the rug that are going to come out as very important events.
The first one, which has been discussed, is the incompetent nurse at St. Marys. I believe she entered the wrong information, that being that the test was negative for Dan being the father, and all the changing back and forth was designed specifically to confuse us, the viewers. And,
The tift between the Dimera’s and Kiriakis’ over the shipping fiasco. There was no earthly reason for that other than the fact it will come into play at a later time. I believe it is going to be instrumental in who shot EJ.

September 13, 2010 at 8:46 pm #16232caseyParticipantthe shipping conflict. Very astute observation BB!!
September 13, 2010 at 9:48 pm #1624053tdogsParticipantnot Victor…I am liking his personality change for the better now so much – I can understand him being a tough Greek shipping tycoon, but I don’t want the SL with the possiblity of a Maggie/Victor duo to be in jeopardy. Victor has had nothing but a string of bad luck with women, (of his own volition of course), and with Maggie loosing Micky – well, I just think they are a match! Maybe not made in heaven but a definately a match!
September 14, 2010 at 2:52 am #16246caseyParticipantit’s the older couples who to me are more entertaining – Vic/Mags and Stef/Kate. They are written with more depth.
September 14, 2010 at 5:44 pm #1625553tdogsParticipantthat very thing the other day…I don’t know if it’s because I am older now, that I like the older characters, Stephano, Marlena and John were always my favorites. I’ve gritched about the teenagers on the show and their story lines for 20 years, but I’d much rather watch Victor/Maggie/(even Vivy) and Stephano and Katie along with Bo/Hope. – Also, Carly and Abe and Lex, than suffer through with Chelsa, or even Stephanie story lines.
I’m so glad we don’t have to watch Jan and Shawn anymore…yeech – I still cringe after all these years. Will is watchable at he isn’t a flighty, weird teen as most are/have been on the show. I like and can watch him. I can even watch Chad as he is better now that he’s not caught up in the Mia thing. There was a sidekick – a guy who played Will and Chad’s friend that could deliver good lines and was interesting but he was just on the sidelines. There was also a girl that was always a _itch who hung around with that kid. Last I saw her she was working at the pub, but I didn’t like her then. Can’t remember either one of their names.
Sami although, not a teen by a long shot is getting on my last nerve because she will not grow up. It would be so great for her to become more like Marlena was (as the show needs a character like her for stablity). I’d love for Sami to go away for a month like Bo and Hope did and come back a completely mature and calm person. And she would never, ever, say the line again – "I’m doing this for my kids!"
September 15, 2010 at 12:15 am #16273luckeyParticipantgave his Mom "what for" when she said, "I’m doing this for my kids!" He started to snort an answer at her, but she interrupted and kept on ratchet jawing….blah, blah, blah. I’ve had enough of her for awhile.
September 17, 2010 at 4:02 pm #16355layseaParticipantwho switched the results too. And bonbon you may be right and the nurse made the first mistake. But, if you notice almost everytime Stephaine or her comupter buddy mentions wondering who made the switch the next person they show is Maggie. I read on Days cafe we would be suprised about who changed the results. I know that maybe crazy and really can’t come up with a reason except she wants Melaine’s marriage to work out. But, I’m leaning toward maggie!!!
September 17, 2010 at 8:23 pm #16358Ms. JakeParticipantOh yeah…I’ve said this before…I bet the lab made a mistake and then corrected it before Carly read it. Or the stupid girl working there hit the wrong key or something, stupid. Like mixing something up…..
September 20, 2010 at 12:08 pm #16411caseyParticipantmore grown up than Sami!
September 20, 2010 at 2:57 pm #16415PattiParticipantthe more I believe that Daniel switched the results. I have always suspected he was a little more than suspicious of Chloe’s behavior, maybe not being sure that she had an affair, but certainly enough to believe she wasn’t being truthful to him. I mean, who wouldn’t be when she’s been so evasive every time he asked her what was wrong, and several times mentioning that he did not believe she was telling him the truth, or she was withholding something from him. However, I think he is so in love with her that, as he has said over and over again, "there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her." And when he shockingly ran into her at the clinic that day after coming back off the elevator for her phone, and then realizing why Carly was there, i.e., to administer a paternity test to a woman who did not speak English (really Carly?), I think Daniel started to put two and two together and did some computer searching on his own. He had all of the information needed; he even knew the name of Carly’s patient, Dana Scott. Plus, Carly placed herself under suspicion when she adamantly refused to allow Daniel to see her patient. So, he had all of the information he needed to search the results, perhaps suspecting all the while that her patient was really Chloe. Sooooooo, since he will do anything not to lose her, he just may have decided to switch the results himself. Extremely selfish of him, I know, especially since no one died and made him God, and furthermore he should be well aware of how difficult it was for Melanie and for him when they found out that Carly withheld that they were father and daughter. I don’t know, I just think that Daniel could and would have easily brushed his medical ethics aside for fear of losing Chloe.
September 20, 2010 at 4:08 pm #16418DeeLanParticipantLet’s not forget Carly took a DNA sample from Dan telling him it was for some research.
September 22, 2010 at 2:08 am #16464drea4713ParticipantI think you might be right, because I have noticed several times Stefanie asks, "Who would have done it," they have gone to Daniel, and he’s usually acting strangely about something. But my question is, why? Why wouldn’t he have just told Chloe, "Look, I know what you did, but I forgive you. Let’s move past this."
September 22, 2010 at 4:38 am #1646853tdogsParticipantSalem is raising someone elses kid, so why not Daniel too? He didn’t get a say in Mel being raised and he probably wants Chloe and any child (if it’s not his ???) just to have that "happy family".
September 22, 2010 at 2:53 pm #16480PattiParticipantmight be because he either knows or suspects that Chloe had an affair; and since he’s also been very suspicious of her relationship with Philip and questioning why he shows up at their apartment so much lately, it would not be a question of what is right for him and Chloe, but if he does suspect or know that it’s Philip, he would be breaking up his daughter’s marriage to Philip as well, and I just have a feeling that since he is so insanely in love with Chloe, maybe, just maybe, he feels that he would be doing all 4 of them a favor, but if this whole truth comes out, I think Philip will be the one exploding on them, since he’s made it clear to Chloe that if it were his baby, he would take care of both of them. Realizing that he gave up his child before, I think he would be determined not to give up another one. So, Daniel may feel it’s in all of their best interests if he keeps quiet about it. Plus, he so wants Chloe and this child, he’s willing to go against everything that is right, just and ethical to keep them. JMO.
