WOW!!! What a results show, from STeven’s brithday to Hulk Cogan, to finally the shocking ending Casey would have been cut but he started to sing his last song when Randy interupted and said stop, we know who Casey is , we dont need to hear him sing, he deserves to be here so they used the save vote on Casey! Wow. what a great show. he really needs to listen to the judges though. I am sOOOOO Happy they said that to him. but awesome show!
March 25, 2011 at 2:19 am #22093caseyParticipantthe voters thought the same as I did, that Casey’s gravely, snarling delivery is getting a bit tiresome. Even Randy more than hinted tonight that Casey was maybe forcing it and to just sing.
Will be interested to see how he adjusts and which two will be eliminated next week.
For sure though, we know the judges really like this guy.March 25, 2011 at 2:40 am #22095DeeLanParticipantI had tears in my eyes when Randy stopped his singing because I knew what they were going to do. I’ve said for 2 years they don’t need to hear them sing again they already know if they’re going to save that person or not.
March 25, 2011 at 2:46 am #22096NoraParticipantProbably Casey, I loved him from his audition with that harmonica/recorder thingy he had. but I was one that was getting tired of his growling. I didnt think He nor Stefano deserved to be in the bottom this week. Haley and Thia were much weaker. I cant believe Haley keeps getting through.
I loved all the surprises on the show tonight. stevie wonder was awesome. so was the Hulk, That was hilarious, James looked like he was going to pee his pants when he was ripping off his shirt! Too funny! that was cute. Jennifer Hudson was good too, not really sure if I liked the song or not though. Hell every week I even look forward to see what outrageous outfit that Steven is wearing!! that was funny to when he ran up on stage to kiss Jacob!
March 25, 2011 at 3:49 am #2209953tdogsParticipanttheir (judges) one and only save-U-now-card – there’s now no suspense up until the last moment. And this shows me that America’s votes don’t really count. Like you said, we know the judges really have their favorites up front – reminds me too much of Simon. I really FF’d through most of this show anyway…it seems like it’s become one long Coke, or Ford commerical anymore.
March 25, 2011 at 3:29 pm #22114caseyParticipantJen’s hubby. Sounded like Marc was beneficial in his role at helping the contestants and loved how he disagreed w/his wife.
I don’t really care that the “save” card is used up now. Except if somehow Scotty was on the ropes. I hope he goes far.March 25, 2011 at 3:53 pm #22115PattiParticipantso far this entire season has been amazing, from the talent to the production of the show. I loved and certainly did not expect to see Stevie Wonder appear and pay tribute to Steven Tyler’s birthday. His daughter, Liv Tyler, was in the audience the night before the results show, and boy, does she look like her dad or what? I don’t care what people think Steven Tyler looks like — to me he’s a star and I just love him. He looked like he was genuinely surprised, too, with the birthday tribute. JayLo looks more gorgeous from week to week, and again last night she was amazing, but she’s not the only hot number in that household. Her husband is so damn sexy, I think if he got close to you, you would feel the heat — that’s how hot I think he is. He’s not that gorgeous, model face you see out there every day, but the man exudes sex appeal. Randy looks like he’s having the most fun ever since he’s working with these two judges, and I compliment him each week for keeping it real with these kids. Now, talk about a shocker — I expected Thia to be in the bottom 3, but like last week with Naima, I did not expect her to be the first one called safe. Matter of fact, I expected that would be Casey back to the couch first. Boy, what a surprise when Ryan sent Thia back. Then I thought to myself, awwww, Stefano looked like he was going to cry when Casey was announced to have gotten the least amount of votes. I almost fell off my chair. Casey is so talented, and I must say his singing is probably the least of those talents. He’s an accomplished musician, and does anyone realize how hard it is to mix jazz/scatting with rock or Moetown or any other genre, and adding your own music at times? Very, very difficult. You have to have a lot of control and imagination to know just where everything goes, and Casey has it in spades. All in all, I was jumping with joy, applauding and yelling like an overwhelmed idiot when they stopped him in mid-stream and said they knew who he was, what he sounded like and did not need to hear anymore — he was staying. WHAT A CLASS ACT.
March 25, 2011 at 4:08 pm #22117caseyParticipanthe was definitely a one trick pony on AI before this year. All you got out of him was “pitchy dude” or “it didn’t work for me.” What a turnaround in the content of his comments this year – and he’s so relaxed, not worrying about what Simon was going to do or say.
And everyone thought this show was doomed without SC? Who misses him!March 25, 2011 at 4:31 pm #22121NoraParticipantI AGREE 100%!!!! I cant talk about last night enough! I like Steven too, i just get a kick out of his wardrobe! he’s like Kate though, he can pull it off! My mouth dropped to the floor too when Ryan sent Thia back first. HOLY CRAP I said. lol. I agree about the judges, I’m loving J-lo more and more each week too. She’s fabulous! And agree about her hubby too, lets just say I agree with your entire post! I’m enjoying Randy more too, and I ‘ve noticed that he hasnt been using Pitchy that much this year! WOAH! I guess he had to dumb down his comments before to let Simon have his airtime. and NO Casey I dont even think about Simon when i’m watching the show! I wanted them to go to a 2 hours to one and a half hour for results , they probably will once they keep dwindling down. i think Casey is really going to bring it next week.
I’m going to be soooo sad when idol ends this year and we have to wait for Janurary again!
March 25, 2011 at 11:36 pm #22131ellenkbParticipantAbsolutely one of the best nights of IDOL I have ever seen! Stevie Wonder, Hulk Hogan, Jennifer Hudson, Marc Anthony, and drama, drama, drama! So glad Casey is still in the running because no matter what you like, no one can argue his insane talent. He’s 19 for goodness sake! Maybe not mainstream but never boring and I look forward to what he is going to do every week. I am really happy with this top 11 and am already thinking about getting tickets to the tour.
