I cannot believe that Sami could stand there and attack Carrie for KISSING her husband when her secret actions are far worse. As she went on and on, I couldn’t help but laugh at her. She just got reemed out by her son and she now tells Rafe she cannot forgive him0and that he should get out. What a hypocrite!!!
She should be saying lets get past this.
I thought the show today was all about SECRETS and truths. It was well done
February 6, 2012 at 10:24 pm #30844PattiParticipantshe wasn’t alone. The entire show today was so thick with hypocrisy, you could cut it with a knife. E.J. and Nicole condemning Abe and Lexi for Abe cheating and getting his hands on the debate questions; Abe believing Lexi has suddenly sprouted a conscience and professing that his wife doesn’t deserve to be lied to; Sami yelling at Rafe about betraying her and telling Carrie that she (Carrie) only wants what Sami has; I mean, my God, it just went on…and on…and on… The only ones who impressed me today were Stefano and Kate, but I’m sure that worm is going to turn very soon.
February 6, 2012 at 10:45 pm #30846lynnekarenParticipantBut when I think about this, I truly believe it’s easing her conscious (sp?) by fuming at Rafe and Carrie. Because we know it’s going to come out.
Do you know what I mean? It’s like she can project her anger at herself now at Rafe and Carrie. Not that it’s right. But good grief if this isn’t stupid. Rafe would NEVER have done that to Sami. This story is crazy.
February 6, 2012 at 10:47 pm #30848caseyParticipantwas acting out her own guilt (I think there’s a term for this in psychology) by ordering Rafe out? Otherwise, she’s a pretty miserable human being for overlooking her own far far worse indiscrection.
Also, Jenn and Abe and Rafe are acting unlike the characters we’ve come to know. Wrong has become the “in thing” lately.
I’m wondering what will happen to the thick as thieves relationship between Nicole and EJ once she finds out about him and Sami?February 6, 2012 at 10:53 pm #30849caseyParticipantNow I wonder how the Carrie/Rafe relationship will proceed. This will of course just send Austin closer to his coed honey.
February 7, 2012 at 3:37 am #30852DeeLanParticipantI was thinking the same thing. Sami was projecting her own self hate toward Rafe and Carrie. Or would that be transferrence of guilt. I got the impression it’s better for her to kick Rafe out and blame him and Carrie for their marriage falling apart than it is for him to find out the truth about what she did.
February 7, 2012 at 4:47 am #30853justwonderingParticipantBut I think that is the whole point of this episode. Showing that all these people are guilty of lies and deceit is the theme of this episode. Better than that, Abe, Jennifer, EJ, Nicole, Sami, Rafe and Carrie are all guilty of deceiving themseves. Each of them are responible for the situation each is in. The old adage that "the end justifies the means" can never work. That and the fact that the truth always comes out.
Even Bo and Hope couldn’t decide what to do, but at least they were in it together. This secret will affect many people. Whatever Stefano’s secret is will also have fallout.
But i really enjoyed this episode and look forward to tomorrow.
February 7, 2012 at 5:18 am #30854NoraParticipantThe line that really bothered me the most coming out of samis mouth today was that carrie was always jealous if Sami and wanted whatever Sami had, 4 beautiful children career and a good husband, I don’t recall any time that Carrie wanted to be like Sami I thought today was a big step down from the last couple better shows that were on. This whole envelope sceret thing is driving me nuts too.
February 7, 2012 at 12:27 pm #30856BonbonParticipantshould have been entitled, "The Pot Calling the Kettle Black."
It seemed to me that Rafe and Carrie were really minimizing that kiss. There was nothing "innocent" about it or that "it meant nothing." That was no little peck on the cheek; that was a full-blown, sexually-induced, all-out kiss. As far as it never happening again…I can’t believe that if they hadn’t gotten caught that it would never happen again. Something like that is never a one-time occurance.
February 7, 2012 at 2:02 pm #30858NoraParticipantAgree 100 percent on your comment bonbon. That kiss was anything but getting carried away with getting paid. Talk about grasping at straws. Pathetic.
February 7, 2012 at 2:18 pm #30860MKParticipantTheir explanation to Sami just made me laugh out loud. That excuse is lamer than lame. As excited as I have gotten at work, I have NEVER even dreamed of kissing a co-worker like that (or even any kind of kiss at all)! It was so far fetched even for Days.
February 7, 2012 at 2:21 pm #30861MKParticipantAnd didn’t Sami also tell Carrie that Carrie’s always wanted all the men in Sami’s life? Are you kidding me??? Isn’t that the other way around?
February 7, 2012 at 2:29 pm #30865PattiParticipantthe writers certainly did a good job letting the fans know that they (writers) do realize that most, if not all, of our dearly beloved characters have flaws and indiscretions far beyond what they are able to see in themselves, and yesterday’s show was a perfect example of sort of ‘hanging them all out to dry.’ When you take the time to dissect these characters, the flaws far outweigh the attributes. For example, although he wasn’t on yesterday’s show, Brady has continuously reprimanded Sami for her behavior, yet he seems to have decided to selectively forget about his entombing Vivian. LOL. If we took the time to do this to every character on DOOL, we could probably write the show ourselves, but kudos to Mar-Dar. At least they are showing me that they could be headed in the right direction after-all.
February 7, 2012 at 3:14 pm #30874caseyParticipantthat statement “it just happened.” Like people have no control over their actions!
And for sure, there was the first kiss and then a mutual embracing kiss. Hardly meaningless!February 7, 2012 at 6:05 pm #30864bluebonnetParticipantAnd on a slightly different note, the thing that makes the Rafe/Carrie attraction almost (notice I said almost) as bad as what Sami did is that Carrie is Sami’s sister for gosh sake! No one should ever do something like that to a sibling. First of all, I can’t imagine being attracted to a brother-in-law or sister-in-law because they are FAMILY. Secondly, Sami and Carrie have such a tortured sister relationship that I can’t imagine Carrie wanting to make that even more strained.
