sami sure has a short memory about her past and lies. one would think she would be more understanding of others because of all the stuff she has done, especially with/for the children.
January 15, 2013 at 2:52 am #37252mommytutuParticipantI can’t believe she acted the way she did. Just when you start to like her a little she does something to make you hate her again.
January 15, 2013 at 8:16 am #37258BonbonParticipantI would have expected nothing less from her but to back Gaby and console her. What a fool I am. That’s typical Sami again. Fly off the handle before giving it any thought. It would have made more sense to me to ask Gaby what had happed her and and Will that she had ended up pregnant.
Lucas acted like it’s the most impossible thing in the world to give up a child. No, Lucas, that’s probably the most unselfish thing Will will ever do in his entire life. And women (whom it think it’s much harder on then men) do it all the time. Seems to me that Lucas should have been commending and consoling Will instead of preaching at him. Any why should it have been more important for Will to talk to Lucas RIGHT THEN than to go find Sonny to explain. <sigh> These Salemites all have they heads screwed on wrong.
January 15, 2013 at 1:40 pm #37264PattiParticipantif they put their heart and soul into giving you the wedding of your dreams, only to find out it was a ruse just so you could hide the fact that you were trying to deny them their own grandchild. Oh, wait, that’s what Sami did. I did like her line though …. "I should have seen you coming." Little deja vu, Sami? I loved every minute of it.
January 15, 2013 at 2:22 pm #37267MKParticipantI SO agree with you, mommytutu! I was starting to like Sami again with the whole John/Marlena/Kristen storyline. But watching her yesterday was just painful. Same ole’ Sami not wanting to listen to anybody. Just ranting like a lunatic.
January 15, 2013 at 2:35 pm #37270goodolddaysParticipantwhen she said that about not being denied her grandchild – she sounded just like EJ or Kate, and that really annoyed me. Everything is always about her. And she did the exact same thing with Sydney!
I can understand her being upset, but she flew into a rage without knowing any of the facts, as usual. And she was cruel to Gabi.
January 15, 2013 at 2:48 pm #37275BonbonParticipantwas totally inexcusable…almost as bad as the way Chad was bad-mouthing her. Gaby did nothing to Sami, nothing at all. It’s HER baby, not Sami’s and she has zero right to dictate what happens to it or who raises it. If she has to blow her top at someone it should be Will.
AFAIC, Gaby and Nick are doing what’s best for the baby and that’s exactly what all three decided and everybody else should be told in no uncertain terms to BUTT OUT.
January 15, 2013 at 2:54 pm #37276luckeyParticipanthe was at the coffee shop talking to Sonny. He hit the nail on the head when he said something like "I’m sure Sami isn’t recalling right now what she’s done in the past." He had a few more really great lines in there too and I was glad that the writers at least had someone voice what we’re saying here.
January 15, 2013 at 2:55 pm #37277bluebonnetParticipant"what is good for the baby" seems for these characters to be "what is good for me." Are they really thinking of what is good for the baby? If so, then I don’t think the baby’s father should have been kept a secret. Those kinds of secrets have a way of destroying lives later down the road. I certainly don’t think everybody in town had a right to weigh in on the big decision, but this big decision that Nick, Gabi, and Will made seems self-serving.
January 15, 2013 at 3:13 pm #37281PattiParticipantbut to be perfectly honest, I believe the best solution would have been for Gabi and Will (not Gabi and Nick) to come clean from the start, which would have avoided all of this heartache they must all be facing now. And why didn’t Gabi take up for Will when they were accusing Will of the one wanting to abort the baby. That was an out and out bold faced lie (maybe on Nick’s part), but Gabi was the one who wanted the abortion, not Will, yet he’s being blamed for it now. Heck, he even tried to stop it, before Gabi came to her decision not to have it; but Nick and Rafe and probably Gabi will all let everyone believe it was Will who didn’t want the baby. Hate Gabi; hate Nick; and Rafe …. you need to STHU!!!! Don’t like you anymore either. Guess I’ve just had it with him, too.
January 15, 2013 at 6:44 pm #37286lynnekarenParticipant100% agree with that. I actually yelled at my TV today. Yelled! Outloud, to my tv. I think I’m on Days overload. lol
January 15, 2013 at 9:22 pm #37290dvalParticipantSami was just reflecting herself back on Gabi. She assumes immediatey that since that is what she did, denying Lucas his son, that is what every other female would do, LOL.
January 15, 2013 at 9:51 pm #37292cornbreadParticipantjust occurred to me…she’s going to be Granny Sami! Too weird!
January 15, 2013 at 10:39 pm #37294justwonderingParticipantI guess that I am in the minority but I didn’t have a problem with the decision that was reached by the 3 parties.
Gabi was upset because she discovered she was pregnant. She knew that it was Will’s child. She also knew that Will was in love with Sonny, not her. She felt ashamed because she feared her family would be dishonored, upset, maybe even disown her. (Her mother is very religious and traditional) She also didn’t want to raise the child alone.
Nick is in love with Gabi. Once he knew that Will was the relunctant father, he decided to swoop in and be the hero. I think that Nick does love Gabi, however he is very controlling. He wants everything to be the way he feels it should be.
Will had a moment of weakness (much the same as Sami has had multiple times) and turned to Gabi. He was not too thrilled to discover the news as he and Sonny had finally gotten together. He was looking for a way out and accepted the offer.
No one was lied to, no one was kept in the dark. These are 3 adults who came to an agreement. These are the only ones that count. It is not anyone else’s business.
