They actually deserve each other. Sami made me sick today – saying how EJ was a good man, and practically begging him for forgiveness and to give her another chance. I loved her and Rafe together, but I hope they NEVER get back together now. She does not deserve him, and he deserves someone much better than her.
After eons of waiting for Sami to change and thinking she finally found salvation with Rafe I no longer care, and if she’s with EJ, fine. She’s had a boatload of chances over the years to prove she is worthy of a good man and blows it every time. I’m now convinced as long as Ken C is at the helm we will never see Sami mature. Sami/EJ doesn’t thrill me but you’re right; this is the guy she “deserves.”
to make it work. It depends on the writing whether or not people will ever accept them. For EJami fans, it’s all good right now; for Safe fans, not! For Sami haters, the feelings for her will never change, regardless of who she is with. For me, I’m not crazy about it, but I’m willing to sit back and wait until I see what kind of story unfolds with them as a real couple, finally giving in to the fact that they simply can’t stay away from one another, no matter what the circumstance. I’m not passing judgment until I see what the writers bring to the table, now that they have evidently decided to go with EJami.
I’ve always liked Sami, despite all her faults, but this latest episode with Rafe and EJ is enough. She has continually pushed aside Rafe – the only guy who respected her and treated her right, and he deserves better. She thinks EJ is a good man?? I can’t even list all of the horrible evil things he has done. Rafe has never schemed or manipulated her, all he did was stand up for his sister when Sami attacked her. But now she sees him for who he really is? whatever. And now she chooses EJ, who is a great father, and has changed, blah, blah. I agree they can’t stay away from each other, and I don’t care anymore if they are together, but it is just sickening how she has such hate for Rafe, for stupid reasons, and such love for EJ when he is despicable. Like I said – they deserve each other.
Rafe came into the picture. In spite of the fact James and Ali have such great chemistry together, I’d really rather see Sami with Rafe. But, after what has just transpired between them, how could they ever get back together again? OMG, what am I saying? She’s taking EJ back, I guess she could accept anybody and anything.
I completely agree. I thought Sami had a chance of actually growing up while she was with Rafe and I was a Lumi fan! Rafe brought out the best in her but it was not to be. I hope Rafe never looks back, in spite of the whole Carrie debacle he’s a far better man than Sami deserves. Now EJ…she deserves him. More importantly, he deserves her.
Rafe made Sami a better person whereas EJ just allows her to be the same old immature person she has been for years now. Sami with EJ means a continuation of the same old same old with the Sami character. She will never grow up around EJ because he will encourage, and support, her often irrational behavior. I think this may signal the end of Sami, at least for me, and I have always liked her character through all the nonsense. But to conitnue to see her remain stagnant…welll I can’t watch it for however many years remain of this show.
we disagree. I can definitely see an improvement in Sami. Maybe it has nothing to do with E.J. and more to do with the way she’s looking at things now. After all, this is her grandchild, too. I think she’s slowly improving in the way she puts a lot of blame on herself for the way she raised Will and she is in mommy protective mode now every time she believes they are trying to keep Will from his child, and she’s not completely wrong about that (enter Nick Fallon), but the improvement in Sami is there if anybody wants to take the time to look for it. I personally think this new writing for her and E.J. may just be the best thing to happen to both of them. I don’t want to see E.J. be Stefano any more than I do Sami to be Kate. They have Kristen for that now. I’m choosing to walk around in a fog for a while until I see if things will clear up for them as a couple and not just their individual actions or reactions to their problems. As far as Rafe is concerned, he’s more jealous that she chose E.J. over him, and like Chloe using Parker as her crutch to get back at Jen and Daniel, Rafe will use Gabi and her and Will’s child to take his anger out on Sami and E.J. I need Rafe to take a step back and see what he’s really upset about and what’s really happening in Gabi’s life right now, because if he doesn’t, his wacko future brother-in-law is going to give his little sis a number of reasons Rafe truly needs to fear for her. Time will tell, I guess.
I really do not see Rafe doing anything wrong as of yet..He only gets in Sami’s face is when she has messed with Gabi and talking crazy to her and Rafe, Lucus and Gabi are telling her the truth, STOP jumping the gun and ask the questions before she goes belittling Gabi..Talk to Will first…the only thing Rafe is doing wrong is believing in Nick that he will take care of his sister and I DO NOT believe that Rafe will use his Sisters and her Child to get back at SAMI, that is not the Rafe that I have seen on my TV set..smile..but with all of that being said I am kind of liking Sami and EJ together, if I could erase some of the dirty things he has done to her but we will see how this Sl plays out, and I hope tptb do not start changing Rafe to better fit Sami/EJ ‘s SL..
that Gabi is trying to keep the baby from Will. Her going bezerk about them getting married made no sense at all. They had planned on getting married all along but now she’s accusing them of doing it to get custody? Come on, she’s the mother, she’s already got custody. I’m sorry, the writers are scraping the bottom of the barrel again on this one.
I do agree with you, however, that she is beginning to accept some of the responsibility of her errors in raising Will and I appreciate that but now she’s doing other stupid things.
But I don’t think Rafe was jealous of Sami picking EJ. He went off on her and "broke it off" before he found that out.
but Rafe has always been jealous of E.J. and vice-versa. Now, they all need to stop going at each other and let Gabi and Will handle the situation with their child and with Nick, and have everyone else, including Rafe, stop offering their advice unless Gabi and Will as parents ask for it. But, at the same time, Gabi has to speak up more for herself than she does. She is completely influenced by Nick AND by Rafe and does let them control her life — at least that’s the way I see it and I think that’s the way Sami sees it. Sami just doesn’t know how to listen, and in that respect she has not improved …. not yet anyway.
I don’t think Rafe is "jealous" of EJ – rather he knows EJ is despicable and cannot understand why Sami can even be in the same room with him. He knows EJ is not good for Sami, I think it’s more confusion, hurt, etc, than jealousy
Maybe I am wrong about her. Time will tell I guess. Actually I’m kind of tired of the whole show except for Kristen. Boy can Eileen D act.
it’s almost sacrilegious to dislike the character as much as I do. I’m sort of waiting for the day to come when she gets her just desserts, which I’m sure she will.
I think that’s the difference between this character and EJ. I just plain hated EJ. But Kristen, when she flutters her eyelids and does that pouty little girl thing with her mouth and you just know she doesn’t mean it, well, I hate her but at the same time I just love it. She is just that good! and even though I will be glad when she gets her comeuppance I think I will be sorry to see this story end.Though hopeful they will not let her get away and find some meaty little story for her again.
