Right before this they showed EJ screaming to Harold (the butler) to get out ot the house so no, there isn’t any staff there I suppose.

September 2, 2010 at 9:24 pm #15954PattiParticipantas far as E.J. being unconscious so she didn’t have to shoot him, it can be said, and probably will be, that her state of mind clearly could be described as temporary insanity. This is E.J. DiMera, the same man who has put her, as well as her family, through their worst nightmares and now has finally been caught and proven to be the Sydnapper, and she was about to marry this lunatic (albeit purely out of spite, but married to him nevertheless). After a horrific non-wedding screaming match, she then gets a reprieve from that close call, thanks to Rafe and Nicole, takes her children and leaves, and just when she’s thinking all is well with the world, she gets a call from Kate telling her that her children are about to be taken away from her … AGAIN, and that she heard E.J. tell Stefano that he was going to take them out of the country (only because Kate was afraid of losing Will by having him believe Kate was somehow involved). So, she leaves Rafe’s loving arms and bed (you should have been at home by now, Sami) and heads for the Mansion to have it out with him where she finds him not only drunk, but passed out cold with a gun in his hand, and everything comes flooding back into her mind. Hell, if that were my situation, and I knew an attempt was going to be made the next day for this dangerous psychopath to once again abscond with my kids, hell, I would have shot the S.O.B. too. The mistake she made was throwing the gun in the river instead of immediately turning herself in. So, even though I believe she is the one who shot him (with good reason in my book), and putting malice and forethought aside, I do think that at that moment she was temporarily insane. She certainly looked like it, and her voice throughout all of this sounded like something right out of The Exorcist. I don’t think, however, that she was alone in the house with E.J. I think the whole thing was witnessed by someone else. Has to be a continuation plot, ya’ know.

From what I understand, that is an extremely difficult alibi to prove. If it had happened immediately after she found out about him being the kidnapper, I could possibly buy it. The threat of losing her kids "tomorrow" would have given her a reasonable time to take action other than murder. That’s why I said before that I don’t think even TI would get her out of this one. Also, I believe EJ yelling at the staff to get out is going to play into it. They want us to believe Sami and EJ were the only ones in the house. I don’t think that’s true. But, at this point, I haven’t a clue where we’re going.
