is now going to be shown to be more powerful than the Dimeras?  I don’t know anything so this is just my speculation but it seems kind of strange that a gambling ring would be willing or stupid enough to take on the major famillies in Salem: Dimeras (Chad), Kiriakis (Sonny and Melanie), Hortons (Mel, Abby, and Will), Brady (Will), and Hernandez (Gabi and Will).  I know I put some non-blood connections there but they all think of the extras as family.  We know that both the Kiriakis, Hernandez, and Dimeras had gambling connections at one point – remember the Ariana story?  We also had a connection between the Dimeras to some big cheese down in Argentina.  Maybe they are going to introduce a new ‘evil’ crime family to Salem?

it would be very difficult to write the show with them out of action.  I just want them to be as "inconvenienced" as their victims.  I’d love to see EJ have to bow out of the mayor’s race as a consequence of his dasterdly deeds.

back-burning the DiMeras with jail or anything else that would take them off canvas for a while.  Personally, I think the show needs to see them pay and still be seen on-screen from jail.  They’re doing it for John; they did it for Lucas; hell, they did it for Nicole …. why not E.J. and Stefano.  And look how long we watched Rafe behind bars and at the mercy of the DiMeras.  They could still write a story around them but showing it from THEIR jail cell for a change.  I think it would make a hell of a lot more people happy than to see them continue to use their evilness and continue to get away with the things they do to other people.  I’m just sick to death of them.

We’ve never seen anybody in jail for a length of time or we’d get tired of it.  And, if they get out early, the justification would be gone.  It’s a no-win situation.

going to be out of jail by next week?  Stef and EJ would be out the very next day, they have too high priced attorneys with a few judges in their pockets to spend any more than a night in jail.  Corruption, graft, lies, and even getting away with murder, it’s all an art form to the DiMera’s.

KC said the show would now be returning to core family members, love, and less crime and the people who get away with it, etc., etc., and I guess I’m just sick to death of the story lines for this family.  I, for one, would love to see Nicole find out about E.J. and Sami and dump that sucker.  He needs to feel real pain, and a real broken heart and a landslide loss for Mayor due to his involvement with setting up John Black might do it for me; otherwise, I am so sick of him.  I’d rather watch Stefano and Kate any day than E.J. and/or the b/s he’s trying to put over on Nicole, and I may soon lose my sympathy for her as well if she keeps believing in this cad.

Not just for them, but for every criminal in Salem.  If they’re going to commit the crime, then show us them doing the time; and not with an ‘overnight’ stay.

    surprise, surprise!  :o)

I’d like to see EJ win the mayoral race; just because I think it could bring a wealth of storylines.  But then, eventually, he would be caught doing something illegal/immoral/unethical (as we know he is wont to do) and get tossed out of office.  The only problem with that is, what they would do with Abe in the mean time.  Maybe he could chair the BOD of the hospital.

I also want Nicole and EJ to be happy together, for a while, at least.  I’ve been wanting them together way long before Nicole even came back on the show.  I thought they’d make a perfect couple and I’m really enjoying their relationship.  I know it won’t last but I’ll take what I can get.  I think if I had any power in this show, I’d make them the next super couple.  They can both pull it off with the right writing.  And there is just so very much they can do with them as a couple.  Sometimes it’s the villians that become the popular characters on shows.  If my brain were in better condition right now  (too much anethesia yesterday…an endoscopy for my dang ulcers), I’d name a few.

I know it didn’t last long but you’ve got to admit, EJ was feeling some severe pain when he thought Johnny was dead.  You just can’t punish these villians with jail time because the show can’t support that.  The only way they can get their come-uppance is to make them suffer emotionally and I think EJ has done a lot of that (losing his kids, losing Taylor, thinking Johnny dead, to name a few).  Now, Stefano (and Kate too) is a different story.  I can’t see where either of them has had any retribution for ANY of their crimes, physical OR emotional.

I’m sure you won’t agree with me here but what fun would it be if you did…right?  :o)  There’s nobody else on this forum that I can disagree with in such an intelligent and friendly (most of the time) manner as you.  (Love ya!)

By the way, thanks for asking if I’m settled in yet.  Pretty much so; now trying to put everything in the right places.  I’ve arranged and rearranged so many times right now, but things are starting to fall into place.  One thing I will say …. It’s definitely "Christmas Time in the City."  Sooooo pretty!

him about what he was doing back in Salem and then got called away when Johnny went missing.  Then he goes back and tries to sound tough about how he’s going to be keeping an eye on Quinn and his new business venture.  GMAB!

But that’s the way it is in real life. If you are wealthy and connected you can get away with anything!!!

I always find it stupid that EJ and Stefano do stuff and get away with it.  Difference is that when stefano does it people hate him for it and outcast him.  But EJ has done so many horrible things and what does he get?  First he got Johnny (which was wrong) and then after kidnapping Sydney and being shot in the head he got to blackmail Sami and take the kids.  To me he never loses.  It would be nice to see him lose the things he’s worked so hard to possess.
