I thought the wedding was great. I loved Sami’s dress, makeup and hair and I thought Caroline looked very nice too. The vows were sweet and heartfelt. Of course it’s impossible for this union to last more than a few months if that and I would rather have her with Lucas buuuuuut… it was nice to have a bit of romance injected into Salem for a change. That being said, the continued absence of Marlena in her life it getting harder and harder to explain. No Roman nobody but Caroline. I know she said she didn’t want to tell Roman but it still stinks that he wasn’t there. I hate the character of Sami but I really liked the wedding in the forrest idea.

November 26, 2010 at 8:43 pm #18478powerpaw2ParticipantWithin a few hours the forest was decorated and Sami’s hair was all fancied up. (BTW, she is much prettier with a simple hair do IMHO.) It’s late November in the upper midwest and they are standing around with no jackets at night. Yeah right!

Or have an apartment that is decorated with the latest designer fashion or dress to "the nines" for any given occasion and raise four growing children in today’s economy?

November 27, 2010 at 3:49 pm #18505PattiParticipantWas Lava Girl and Shark Boy (my new names for Nicole and E.J.). Even Johnny didn’t want to go with them. As for the wedding itself, Sami could have been naked and all I would have seen is Rafe looking like he just stepped out of GQ. The wedding was somewhat informal, with the only guests that mattered, but beautifully done, IMO. The set, the lighting, everything about it, was lovely and the dialogue was well written … not too formal or mushy, yet not too casual either. I’m not the least bit worried about Sami’s and Rafe’s future together. Sooner or later the right one comes along and Rafe is definitely it for Sami. Now, I will just sit back, watch the plotting, and LMAO when it finally hits E.J. no matter what he thinks he may have accomplished by pulling the kids out of their mother’s arms is that one day soon, that will come back to bite him, too. So, swill down another one, E.J., drink up and boast to high heaven. You may have won the battle, but you definitely lost the war.

Unless Sami experiences some kind of miracle transformation (plunk your magic boinger, Froggie!), I can’t see her being married to ANYONE for more than 10 minutes.

Or else Marlena comes back to Salem and see’s what path Sami is continuing on (for the past fifteen years) and does some intense therapy sessions with her.
