Boy, last night were the season closers for Missing and Person of Interest. I hope they return next season because they both left us hanging. Both were good shows as I didn’t fall asleep and that says something! :o)
On Missing, when she started telling Violet what she was going to do to her to make her talk, I was REALLY, REALLY cringing. That is so horrible that people can do things like that to other people. Ashley Judd sure did portray her part well. I could feel her anguish. Good show! The only problem with that show is (like Days) you have to suspend realism quite often. For instance, she escaped from the policia with nothing but the clothes off her back yet each episode, she’s wearing different clothes, has a gun, money, keys to a car, etc. Hmmmm, I wonder where that all came from???
Awake still has another episode I think. I’m looking forward to that one too. In the previews it shows him visiting himself in jail! VERY interesting!
May 18, 2012 at 2:57 pm #33087PattiParticipanthave both been canceled. Not sure about Person of Interest. I posted all announced cancelations on another thread, and neither one of these shows was picked up.
May 18, 2012 at 8:22 pm #33092caseyParticipantI have a serious crush on Jim Caviezel (sp?)
May 18, 2012 at 10:38 pm #33093PattiParticipantit’s hard to crush on someone who portrayed Jesus in The Passion of the Christ the way that man did. I have never seen anything like that in my life.
May 19, 2012 at 9:57 am #33097BonbonParticipantI didn’t even have to read (or hear) it. I know if it’s a show I like, it’ll be cancelled.
I can’t understand why so many of those inane comedy (?) shows continue year after year. They are so lame and, to me anyway, un-funny. I probably have a more highly developed (I guess that’s the word I’d use) sense of humor than most people but I just really can’t find the humor in these. I think much of it has to do with that hated laugh track they insist on using.
May 21, 2012 at 10:43 pm #3314853tdogsParticipantthat Jim must have had some extra special acting guidance from above when he played that role). I agree Patti and all – I fill guilty when I watch him in "Person of Interest" and think to myself – he is such a hunk of a man!
May 21, 2012 at 11:13 pm #33155PattiParticipantthe man exudes hotness. I’ve read that IRL he is a very religious person as well.
Welcome back, by the way!
May 22, 2012 at 11:20 pm #3317953tdogsParticipantget physical with a woman on screen – because he is married. I applaud his convictions. Reminds me of the old movies where Cary Grant and that generation just implied instead of ripping clothes off left and right. That is a big reason I got tired of DOOL. And I’m really not a prude at all. "Biker chickie" in my younger days but sometimes immagination and good acting is soooo much better than skin and such in the movies and the boob tube.
Thanks! I’ve been lurking very late at night (even very late for west coast time)…no time any more in the days and in the evenings but always enjoy reading all of you guysies posts and comments! Miss ya all!
May 23, 2012 at 10:44 am #33188BonbonParticipantkiss another women yet he did it just the other night on Person of Interest, and it wasn’t just a peck on the cheek, which really surprised me. Then, I wondered if he had said he wouldn’t do a "love scene" instead.
I wonder if he’s changed his values?
May 24, 2012 at 9:31 pm #3324553tdogsParticipantto love scene – I do tend to sometimes mis-hear what is said at times…I must have missed that episdode of Jim kissing – that would have been interesting. One thing I did like about PoI and some of the other shows is that their season was long – 22 or 23 episodes…it seems as if some shows are on for 7 or 8 episodes and then they are off the air for the same length of time – or longer. Hard to follow. Like when they started Keifer’s show "Touch".
