under obligation to spill the cheating secret? The guy unintentionally overheard this info. It’s a confidence that was none of his biz, would never have come to him hadn’t he accidentally heard it and wasn’t his place to pass it along. And Melanie is going beserk and acting like he’s public enemy #1.
October 7, 2010 at 9:54 pm #1682053tdogsParticipantask me…Nathan did look like he was almost gonna cry when Mel was attacking him though didn’t he? And Mel accused Nathan of not carrying for her? Proverbs 18:8: "The words of a gossip are like choice morsels: they go down to a man’s innermost parts."
October 7, 2010 at 10:09 pm #16821BonbonParticipantthat everybody is entitled to know everything that goes on. If you walk in on a phone conversation, you are entitled to ask, "Who was that?" If you walk in on a conversation about someone else, you are entitled to ask, "What was that all about?" If you find out any personal information about anybody at all, you are obligated to pass it on to everyone involved or they will get horribly pushed out of shape. If you want to know some little tidbit of information that someone else has, you are entitled to demand they tell you what it is. I’m afraid Salemites have never heard the phrase MYOB!
October 7, 2010 at 10:50 pm #16822SWParticipantout that Phil is the one Chloe cheated with, she’ll go even more off the deep end!
October 7, 2010 at 11:01 pm #16823daysbrokenwingsParticipanthas NO spine, but this whole ONS is NONE of Nathan’s business. I agree with you Casey. Mel kept asking why he didn’t tell her….wish he would have just kept saying "It’s none of my business". I think Mel was a bit over the top to be attacking Nathan.
October 8, 2010 at 12:25 am #16828majencoParticipantSo true! I often want to scream at the screen "It’s none of your damn business!" but at the same time, if people would stop talking out loud to themselves and telling major secrets over the phone in public places then none of this would be happening. Lazy writing.
October 8, 2010 at 4:12 am #16832Ms. JakeParticipantMelanie is over the top and gets on my last nerve! She makes everything all about her…She acts like she thinks she’s the s-it! And slapping a pregnant woman to boot! Where does she get off???
October 8, 2010 at 8:22 am #16834KseeParticipantEXACTLEY!! and it’s not over yet just wait until she finds out that Carly knew!!
October 8, 2010 at 2:06 pm #16835PattiParticipantof a major overhaul. She grates on my nerves so bad that I honestly would rather watch E.J. for an entire day than watch Melanie in one scene. Ugh. The girl needs to just SHUT THE **** UP!!!!!
October 8, 2010 at 2:45 pm #16838MKParticipantI completely agree. She is understandably upset, but her over-the-top rants are annoying to say the least. I think if it was somebody else doing the yelling, I could probably tolerate it a little bit more. Though the character is growing on me somewhat, there is something about her yelling/crying scenes that irritate me to no end.
I’m sure we’ll see a lot more of her today. I wonder if Daniel finds out today or if they will string it along until Monday? Once Mel finds out that not only did Carly know, but that the other guy was Phillip, she’ll completely lose it. Her resentment/anger/sadness will be totally justifiable, but it’s the way she acts that I’m not looking forward to.
October 8, 2010 at 3:13 pm #16839justwonderingParticipantEver since Melanie learned that Daniel was her Dad she has taken it upon herself to make sure he was happy. But the botto line is it is not her place to decide who is right for him or to protect him from being hurt. THis is between Daniel and Chloe and nathan had no obligation to tell Melanie or even get involved!!!
October 8, 2010 at 9:39 pm #16848majencoParticipantIf I was Chloe I would slap her back.
