I absolutely loved this show. Katharine McPhee is every bit as good an actress as she is a singer. The entire cast is superb, and the story behind it is terrific. I predict this terrific new show will be a huge hit.
February 7, 2012 at 3:15 pm #30875BonbonParticipantI got a phone call just before it came on and then forgot to watch it.
February 7, 2012 at 5:19 pm #30878PattiParticipantso they’re sure to show it again. Plus it will be on "On Demand".
February 7, 2012 at 9:31 pm #30882BonbonParticipantWe get next to nothing from our cable company. I tried to catch up with Merlin and there were zero episodes available.
February 7, 2012 at 11:44 pm #30888PattiParticipantit’s already on Comcast Xfinity On Demand and will be re-shown at least 6 times between now and February 9th on different days and times. If you search by title, you will see all of them ….. that is if you have Comcast Xfinity On Demand.
February 8, 2012 at 11:42 am #30894BonbonParticipantComcast is not even an option where I live. My only choices are our Mickey Mouse cable company or a dish. I was going to get a dish until I found out it was going to cost $250 to wire for EACH outlet and I have four. They say installation is free but that’s only if you want wires running across the outside of your house and your ceiling and down the inside walls. To put them in the attic and inside the wall is extra. Their fine print says, "normal installation." So, I’m stuck paying $120/month (and that’s NO premium channels) or $1,000 for installation. What a scam.
February 8, 2012 at 9:50 pm #3091053tdogsParticipantand down the inside of the walls to the outlets where I wanted t.v. and stereo placed – and installation was all free. All I’ve had is the normal every month charge. And I get all the premium channels (which I hardly ever watch) – "free" for a year as well. I pay $47 a month. Maybe independent individual owned and operated business quoted you that kind of job with the wires on the outside of the house and walls??? – That is ridiculous to do that kind of job!!! You know some of these contractor’s see us ladies and gouge prices up. Can you call another DISH contractor or the main company and ask?
February 9, 2012 at 10:58 am #30921BonbonParticipantI have been thinking of calling Dish Network and see what they offer.
Are you happy with your satellite? I’m a little worried about getting one because of all the rain we have here, well, normally have anyway. We’re in the middle of a very serious drought right now. Anyway, I understand they don’t tend to perform too well in storms.
February 10, 2012 at 7:56 pm #30960Carol JParticipantI love seeing behind the scenes on Broadway. This is my dream show. These people are so talented; it just amazes me that there are so many that never make it. I’m a big fan of musicals and even listen to show tunes on either AOL or Yahoo radio while I’m on the computer.
February 10, 2012 at 10:14 pm #30968BonbonParticipantafter missing the first episode or will I be confused?
February 10, 2012 at 10:37 pm #30970PattiParticipantgo to http://www.NBC.com/smash for the full episode. If for some reason you can’t get that, it certainly will not cause too much confusion. The show is easy to follow. The story is all based around these very talented Broadway script-writers, producers, directors, etc., who are doing the life of Marilyn Monroe. Magnificent cast, produced by Steven Speilbeg no less. The pilot should be easily found through a search tool like Google if you can’t get the one I suggested. I’d be willing to bet you’ll love it.
February 12, 2012 at 6:57 pm #30991February 13, 2012 at 10:55 am #30996BonbonParticipantBut I’m going to reserve judgement until I see more. I can’t believe they are using an actual musical in the show. Does anybody know if these are the real songs from the show?
I also watched the pilot of The River which may have some potential but I’m going to reserve judgement on that one too until I see more. It looks like a copy of Lost (which started out good but then I lost [no pun intended] interest in it).
February 13, 2012 at 2:40 pm #31002PattiParticipantjust a carbon copy of Lost with a lot of fast-paced, hard to follow action, in most instances going nowhere.
February 13, 2012 at 2:48 pm #31006MKParticipantI too thought the River was bad. It was almost comical but I don’t think that was the intention. The jerkiness of the camera combined with the constant action seemed a little over the top and confusing at time. I will probably watch again as maybe it will get better.
