Poor Lauren. They have made Kate dispicable to the point of no return. All she does is lurk, listen, and then try to cause trouble for Chloe. Can they make her any more one dimensional? It is almost a joke how she always happens to be in the right place at the right time to hear something.
July 21, 2011 at 7:24 pm #25347majencoParticipantI really would like to see her actually help Chloe out of this prostitution thing. Seeing as she went through the same thing. Have some compassion. Sucks that they are writing her this way.
July 21, 2011 at 11:25 pm #25349MimiParticipantWould be very refreshing to see Kate do something else!! Even evil people have moments of reprieve from their sadistic scheming…at least they should!
July 23, 2011 at 2:26 pm #25381mommytutuParticipantAnd I hate the writers too. Because they can’t seem to come up with anything original for her character. It is the same old Kate everyday. Honestly, I think anyone of us, could write something for her that doesn’t involve trying to mastermind Chloe’s demise. What is her obsession with poor girl? Without Chloe, what would Kate do except fawn all over Stefano. Either give her a real story, or write her off.

July 24, 2011 at 12:03 pm #25390BonbonParticipantstays concerned with a son’s EX wife? That’s just plain sick.
July 24, 2011 at 3:55 pm #25392annieoParticipantBut I need to say it again and again. All I can say about Kate (and Viv) is that I’ve run out of words to say vindictive, spiteful, malicious, bitter, mean, cruel, nasty and unkind. So sad they can’t find anything better for the characters to do than meddle.
July 24, 2011 at 9:19 pm #25395BonbonParticipanttalented and imaginative people here. Let’s come up with a good storyline for Kate and one for Vivian. Maybe we can give the writers something to work with.
July 25, 2011 at 2:06 pm #25403PattiParticipanthate the character — that’s always been my thinking where Kate is concerned. I always found myself wishing that since it was obvious that she was here to stay, that they would write a story around her involving someone else that I couldn’t stand on the show; that way, I wouldn’t care what she did or how she did it, because I didn’t care about the other character either. I still believe that the real reason behind Kate’s hatred of Chloe doesn’t have anything to do with Philip or Parker, or even Lucas for that matter. It’s all about being dumped by Daniel for Chloe, and even though she couldn’t win Daniel’s love, she will always hate Chloe for it, and in Kate’s mind that means she must get revenge. Kate needs an exorcism. LOL!
July 25, 2011 at 3:41 pm #25405mommytutuParticipantWhen Kate had Hearth and Home, I really thought they’d develop her business skills, maybe make her a business woman who would rival one of Victor’s businesses. I’d so much rather have seen her as a ruthless business woman that a vindictive menopausal woman out for revenge on every pretty female that gets involved with her children. Regardless of being married to Stefano, she doesn’t even have a real story with him. She’s just a side-kick and without any story of her own to tell, she is the most despicable character on the show. They really have wasted Lauren Koslow’s talents.
July 25, 2011 at 4:17 pm #25406PattiParticipantI’ve recently read an interview given by Lauren Koslow to some radio personality (I think the thread is on http://www.daytimeroyaltyonline.com where she is ecstatic over the new storyline for her that the new writers have created. She didn’t give much away, but I think she will be back in the business world once again.

July 25, 2011 at 5:21 pm #25408BonbonParticipanthave I really cared much for LK…UNTIL…they hooked her up with Stefano. Not at first, but eventually, when she started to show us she really did care for him, I began to soften toward her. (This is reminiscent of Angelica Devereaux…as dispicable as she was, they still would show a soft side to her which made her tolerable.)
I have to admit I really do like her with Stefano as it gives her some redeeming qualities at least and, yes, she is a very good actress. Now if they could just give her an even mildly interesting storyline that doesn’t involve meddling in someone else’s life, I might even get to like her.
