a new night club that just opened and the people are playing beer pong right out in the open?!? That was one of the stupidest most unrealistic scenes I’ve ever seen.
February 23, 2012 at 10:33 pm #3129153tdogsParticipantmurderers, kidnappers, illegal gamblers, crime families, and even tigers – then they sure aren’t going to bust anyone with an open container on the streets of Salem.
February 23, 2012 at 10:58 pm #31292lynnekarenParticipantyea underage drinking in the open, no big deal. lol omg
February 24, 2012 at 1:06 am #31293majencoParticipantOMG I had forgotten about the tiger! That scene when the tiger attacked Tony was one of the most hysterical scenes ever! I remember laughing until I cried.
February 24, 2012 at 11:14 am #31298BonbonParticipantI imagine it’s okay to be drinking there also. Didn’t we establish that it’s not actually outdoorsbut kind of like an atrium? And I got the opinion that Will was the only one underage. I didn’t have a problem with that.
Is beer pong a real game? Never heard of it. How is it played? Sounds like fun, although I don’t really care for beer but I’m sure you could substitute vodka. :o)
February 24, 2012 at 11:24 am #31300KseeParticipantwhat I don’t get is since the Town Square opened, the weather has been perfect for this time of year !! no rain, snow nothing!! people are dressed like it’s summer almost.! or am I the only one who doesn’t know that this is an "indoor town square" ?
February 24, 2012 at 1:02 pm #31303SWParticipantare too busy getting to Alamainia so they can have another wedding, some like Rafe got fired, Fauxman is still off screen 99% of the time (and he’ll probably be fired by EJ if he gets to be mayor – I’m assuming Nicole doesn’t expose his manipulation of the voting that she did on his behalf), and Abe’s still too busy licking his wounds from the Lexie beating to care what the underaged are doing in the square. Who was buying Will the booze? That guy he was hot and heavy with? Is beer pong buying booze for underage kids or has WillyBoy been aged again without our knowledg?
February 24, 2012 at 3:24 pm #31311DeeLanParticipantDoing a search on Google it is a real game http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_pong & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oIZ9bZoi3c
There are also National Beer Pong Leagues with Caps, shirts, etc.. http://www.beerpong.com/
February 24, 2012 at 3:49 pm #3131253tdogsParticipantuntil Bonbon pointed it out. I got confused with Abe and Sami wearing heavy coats, Carrie calling for hot chocolate and going "brrrrrrrrrrr", and in the same scene five seconds later, Maddison was wearing short sleeves and Kate was dressed for the Sahara dessert – yet the fire place that any other area open to people walking by and children running that would be in violation of an entire section of an OSHA safety issue, was blazing away…
February 24, 2012 at 4:12 pm #31314MoGirlParticipantI too don’t like the fact that they show them outside in the square and act like it is summer. I thought when they had that snow storm when Maggie got married to Victor that there was snow at the square. It is a mild winter in most the US but too much sitting outside like it is summer. I do love the square tho as it does give a nice place for everyone to meet . I do wish these big time business folks tho would stop doing business at tables in public and not be in their offices. Does Victor have an office or Kate ? Oh well it is a soap.
February 24, 2012 at 4:43 pm #31316PattiParticipantPeople are sitting in an outer-area of an in-door mall-type structure, like you would in a food court in any large mall.
February 24, 2012 at 6:31 pm #31323BonbonParticipantwell then, if he declared himself the champion, how’d he get so drunk? Interesting game. I’ll have to try it sometime. We had a drinking game when I was much younger but can’t remember the name of it. It was very popular at the time. You’d have to draw a card and do what it said on the card. If you couldn’t you had to chug your drink.
One of the best tongue twisters ever was in there. It went: A skunk sat on a stump. The stump thunk the skunk stunk. The skunk thunk the stump stunk. (Cripes, it’s even hard to type.)
February 24, 2012 at 6:54 pm #31326bluebonnetParticipantNot only is it hard to type, I’m even having trouble reading it out loud. Thanks for sharing it. I sent it to my niece and nephew because they like things such as puzzles and tongue twisters.
February 27, 2012 at 7:42 pm #31411IzzyBParticipantThe more you win the drunker you get. Trust me I know from my college days. The winner keeps playing, while the loser no longer plays. While you win, there is 6 cups on the table and you have to clear all cups of your opponent before you win. So in reality they are going to clear some of your cups and therefore you do drink a good amount yourself. So the loser at most drinks three cups (if you are playing teams – 6 if no teams). While the winner could play many games in a row (I think he said 5) and therefore drink as many as two to three per game and if not playing in teams even more. There are even more varients where you play teams but both of you have sets of glasses in front of you. In that case the winner could drink up to five glasses per game. Especially since Will has no tolerance of Alcohol. At least when I played I could hold a good amount of liquor and I walked away VERY drunk and I never lost a game.
February 27, 2012 at 7:45 pm #31412IzzyBParticipantSome places allow open beverages outside. We have open outside areas that allow drinks outside, but have checkpoints so that you can’t leave that outside area with a drink. Some of them are shopping areas like Salem Place. They also sometimes hold outside special events, which is what that looked like.
As for the weather, it will NEVER snow or rain in salem place. The explained that away at the grand opening when someone said, isn’t it great that they thought to put a roof covering this area so the elements won’t effect the square.
