After seeing the collections I almost thought Patricia was going to win. Stanley’s was a little too boring and I thought Michelle’s was a little to far out, although I guess that’s what you’re looking for in couture. I have been hot and cold with Patricia through the season but was really impressed with what she did for fashion week. Oh well.
I wonder why Daniel was conspicuously absent from the audience. And it looks from the previews for next week like he’s not going to be quite so sweet. I think I will be sure and watch that one. That’s when the real opinions come out because they don’t have to be nice anymore.
I’ve never much cared for Michael Kors either as a person or a judge but liked him last night. Pozen is okay but I think Kors is better. I hope he’ll be back as a judge next season. And why wasn’t Heidi wearing any eye make-up? She looked ghastly.
April 26, 2013 at 4:45 pm #39438MKParticipantI read this morning that Michelle won. I haven’t watched it yet but now I don’t really want to. I will watch up until the runway shows but don’t want to hear her name being announced. That way, I don’t have to see Miss "I don’t want to be touched–I need personal space". I was reading comments on a website this morning, and nearly all of them said Patricia should have won. If Patricia did have more "wearable" clothes for everyday women, I can see why she didn’t win. The show likes over the top designs. From what I saw from Michelle last week, I don’t know any woman who would wear breastplate designs and outfits with 80 different things going on in them; the Hunger Games inspired theme.
What’s next week, bonbon? Are they going to have a reunion special? That, I would love to see.

April 26, 2013 at 6:49 pm #39437bluebonnetParticipantI am so disappointed in how this season turned out. Michelle’s outfits were just plain ugly last night with that heavy, quilted material and those huge pleats, but the judges seemed to have pegged her as the winner from the get go. (I think we all guessed that when the judges gave her a second chance after she lost a challenge.) I think Nina got her way as usual. I absolutely loved Patricia’s line and liked Stanley’s, too, for that matter. I really wanted one of them to win–not because Michelle was a snarky person, but because their clothes were just so much better!
I noticed Heidi wasn’t wearing any makeup, too. I think that might be the latest trend in Hollywood.
When does that PR reunion show come on–next Thursday?
April 26, 2013 at 7:36 pm #39440PattiParticipantthe one to go, although I don’t know why they keep saying her clothes are not suitable for "every woman’s wardrobe. I think Nina’s strong dislike for Patricia’s designs had a lot of sway with the judges. She has always been emphatic about her dislike for most of Patricia’s designs. I was sorry to see that Michele won, however. I was really rooting for Stanley, but sometimes he confuses "tailored" with "boring." Michele may be considered as a high-fashion designer with the judges, but I wouldn’t buy her designs if they were on the sale rack. They just look too "star wars" for my taste; but, then again, I don’t care for much of what is considered "couture" in the fashion industry.
April 26, 2013 at 10:28 pm #39441caseyParticipantover Patricia not taking it but I agree Nina did not like her work all season. Also Michele’s designs definitely showed a common theme and cohesion whereas Patrcia’s did not. Though I felt Michele’s were just too heavy and cumbersome. Boy did I love that blue dress of Patricia’s!
And I did like the white and gold dress of Stanley’s. But yeah, otherwise too dullsville and yesterday. -
