about Sami and real Rafe. I actually have never liked Rafe very much. I thought he was rather overbearing with some people. Just because he was with the FBI,he thought he could throw his weight around. The actor who played real Rafe did an excellent job playing a scum bag. When he(real Rafe) would smile and show his teeth, I would want to cringe. There was just something about him that I didn’t like.
I know lots of people are rooting for Sami and Rafe, but I just can’t get enthused.
Now Sami will have her real lover boy and I wonder if she will be as clingy with him now as she was before. She is so insecure. She couldn’t say ten words without saying I love you. That got a little old with me. Actually a lot of things about Sami get old. Now we will have to endure(or ffd) all their love scenes together.
May 9, 2011 at 10:55 pm #23504PattiParticipantand I don’t think she’s insecure at all. You must have her mixed up with Chloe.
May 10, 2011 at 2:03 pm #23519dvalParticipantclingy with Rafe. Actually the opposite. I thought he made her more secure and I really loved them together. She would never have been able to handle all this stuff that faux rafe put her through so calmly if it hadn’t been for real Rafe’s positive influence on her. Let’s face it, old Sami would never have lasted 5 minutes with faul rafe.
May 10, 2011 at 2:06 pm #23520luckeyParticipantexplosion when Sami realizes that she had sex with FauxRafe. How much more livid can she get with the Dimeras when she thinks about what they actually did to her.
May 10, 2011 at 3:12 pm #23526islandgalParticipantI actually made it a point to watch – though I ff through everything without Nicole/EJ & Sami/Rafe. AS & GG did a fantastic job in their respective characters dealing with the emotions. It was so refreshing to see real Rafe and his calmness with Sami and her confusion. (Although if she said "Seriously!?" one more time I was close to muting the tv… it’s a new pet peeve of mine.)
And when she opened the door to leave, even though I knew that Faux-Rafe would likely be there, it was AWESOME!! BOOM! Yeah!! First time I’ve been looking forward to an episode in a long time (assuming today the real fall-out begins!)
May 10, 2011 at 3:28 pm #23529BonbonParticipantthe Dimeras were behind all of this. Rafe can’t remember and, unless Rafe2 spills the beans (which I doubt he will because he’d lose his $2M) she’ll never find out.
May 10, 2011 at 3:56 pm #23532NoraParticipantLOL Bonbon, I have to laugh at your comment about her saying SERIOUSLY!!!! I was seriously going to scream if she said it one more time!!! LOL! but yes I am so looking forward to it today! I SERIOUSLY cant wait! (sorry couldnt help myself!
May 10, 2011 at 4:10 pm #23534maxineParticipantI loved yesterdays show as well and can’t wait to see how it plays out today. ….. thumbs up for AS & GG.
May 10, 2011 at 6:51 pm #23543islandgalParticipantWho knows?? The Shadow knows….. cackle cackle.
Nicole DiMera holds the key. How long until Sami and Nicole have that little conversation and put 2 and 2 together.
May 10, 2011 at 7:54 pm #23545luckeyParticipantshow. He told the whole thing to Sami but switching which Rafe it happened to. So, it looks like Sami already knows how it went down.
May 10, 2011 at 8:42 pm #23546PattiParticipantI am absolutely loving the Rafe/Fafe showdown. How great was GG and AS today? I thought it was fabulous the way they shot the scenes with Rafe and R2 fighting. Both faces were splendidly done; usually you just see the back of one character, but the way they switched it back and forth between good and evil was terrific. Props to director and cameraperson(s). And Galen’s performance is definitely Emmy worthy for this dual role. Stupid R2 should have known that Sami would know he was the impostor. This is the man she’s hated for months. He should have known she would have realized that he was the one working for the DiMeras. He sounds just like them. And she knows now that real Rafe is "her" Rafe. I love the way they are doing this. I love it even more that E.J. is just digging his hole deeper and deeper, but what I don’t understand is what kind of leverage Nicole will have on him once this all comes out? She’ll be "open season" where the DiMeras are concerned. Oh, well …. maybe that’s what the spoiler meant when it said she would have the upper hand on E.J. ….. "for now." Can’t wait til Sami starts helping Rafe remember. Best storyline I’ve seen for a long time, so I’d be willing to bet Higley didn’t write it. Probably one of the script writers.
May 10, 2011 at 9:56 pm #23550BonbonParticipantnot me. I can’t take credit for that. But I’m just as bad using "actually." Not so much in writing but in speaking. It’s so hard to stop. Like people who say, "you know?" Drives me bonkers.
May 10, 2011 at 10:00 pm #23551BonbonParticipantOf course along with GG and AS. They just have two camerapeople (PC there) film the entire scene twice, once with a Rafe stand-in and once with the Rafe2 stand-in. Then it’s the editor who does the magic by cutting and pasting together. But I thoroughly agree with you, it was so well done. And I was looking very carefully to catch a boo-boo but didn’t see a one. So, maybe we ought to add the editor to the list of Emmy awards. Everybody who agrees, raise your hand.
May 10, 2011 at 11:22 pm #23555NoraParticipantAnd man what a conk on the head Sami got when R2 knocked her out of the way! OUCH! made me cringe. and yes i love the look on Real Rafe’s face, he just doesnt know what in the hell is happening to him the poor guy. I think when Sami realizes that she slept with R2 she’s going to break down, Real Rafe will probably have most of his memory back and he’ll comfort her and tell her that everything will be ok. He already cares about her, i think she knew it when he touched her shoulders. cant wait for tomorrow!
May 10, 2011 at 11:34 pm #23558trykeryderParticipantI always look to see the dreaded black line that shows up when one picture is superimposed over another and couldn’t see one. The foreground shot was usually a little clearer than the background shot, but you’d have to look very closely to see it. Great job!
