are certainly enough for me to create my own that are probably even worse than hers! I don’t think mouths and lips were made to contort like that…were they?
February 26, 2010 at 1:57 pm #10848caseyParticipantare just how the actress interprets Melanie or a habit or what. It’s also highly unattractive.
I can see Mel being shocked and upset with all this being heaped on her, but the screaming is over the top for me.February 26, 2010 at 2:47 pm #10849GoodyParticipantpoint blank to the abdomen and then had surgery to remove the bullet, screaming is all she is able to do right now. She just learned that her entire life history is bogus, and she knows nothing about her parents. Yeah, I think she is entitled to cry and yell. I don’t really like the screeching, but I understand Mel’s need to show her frustration in some way.

February 26, 2010 at 11:35 pm #10864VikieJParticipantI thought she did a wonderful job of acting..
February 27, 2010 at 12:13 am #10865PattiParticipantfor both Melanie and Vivian. Also, Carly and Daniel’s scenes were terrific.
February 27, 2010 at 12:45 am #1086853tdogsParticipantabout her dilemma on all the trauma of the shooting, wedding, and lack of parents, I was actually rooting for "the pillow" today.
February 27, 2010 at 12:40 pm #10883BonbonParticipant…I’m understanding Mel’s position a little more clearly now and her "tantrums" are more justified. Now that’s she’s conveyed to us she really doesn’t want to live anymore because her life is so screwed up and her existance has made so many others’ miserable also, it makes much more sense to see her in the frame of mind she is in. But I still can’t stand what she does with her mouth and lips…ugly, ugly, ugly.
February 27, 2010 at 2:01 pm #10884PattiParticipantthat’s why I’m now rethinking her situation; and, contrary to rooting for the success of Vivian and the pillow, I think BOTH actresses did a much better job in their scenes yesterday. I think both Molly and Louise came across as being much more in tune with Melanie’s shocking realization that her whole life’s history, as she has known or believed it to be, has been forced upon her through lies and deception, which sadly have been withheld from her for her entire existence. That being said, yes, I do feel that Molly still needs some coaching on the facial expressions, teeth gnashing and baby talk; but, but you are right, it’s a little easier to be more sympathetic toward her actions now; at least for me it is.
February 27, 2010 at 8:17 pm #10895shadowParticipantI could name a couple of others on the show that their lips are so ridiculous that I can’t stand to look at them, especially when the camera comes in on a close up. I wonder if they ever look in the mirror.
"Put a cork in that girl’s pie hole sounds a little strong." Melanie has a very compassionate heart and she has come a long way from the girl tht first came to Salem. She is dealing with an awful lot of "shocks" right now and she didn’t need psycho(?) Carly insisting and pushing herself on Melanie with all the trauma she is going through.
