the Dimeras are going to pull some kind of switcheroo on Rafe. Why else would Stef ask if Rafe had any marks on him?
And didn’t we hear some suspicious sounds coming from the DiMera basement? Dr. Frankenstein (or should I stay Dr. Rolf?) at work here?January 29, 2011 at 3:31 am #20462ta143ParticipantI’m really not looking forward to this turn in the storyline at all. It’s ridiculous and will probably go on for months. Why can’t they let Sami be happy. Rafe is a great guy and provides some balance to her wild ways. I love his level-headedness.
January 29, 2011 at 9:21 pm #20478PattiParticipantof writers. Instead of having good actors being fired or quitting, or making room for new characters, or returning a vet but hardly seeing them, or returning a past character but with a new actor, KC should look at what is obvious to everyone else. The source of disappointment to me is the writing for the cast we do have.
January 29, 2011 at 9:32 pm #2048153tdogsParticipantor dialog, look at what they did just after the baby-daddy reveal at the Christening, for two or three days they had most, if not all, of us all cheering and commenting on how the characters interacted with each other with great dialog. Then a few days later…back to the S.O.S.!
I think the writers are just plain lazy, or perhaps they think since they aren’t writing a great American novel, just a soap, they don’t have to put forth a great deal of effort in the dialog and story. If they’d stop and think about how the story has had fans for years and even decades, that is in a way a great novel that no one in this fan base wants to put down.

I read somewhere, maybe on Dayscafe, that Rafe2 will be ready next week, when his ‘plastic surgery’ is completed and real Rafe is kidnapped from the hospital and replaced with Rafe2. So, who was he to begin with? I realize now that is why Stefano was so very curious to know what Rafe’s external injuries were. Did he have any ‘cuts or bruises or gashes? He wanted to make sure Rafe2 had identical injuries to his face or body, and, of course, whoever is creating faux Rafe must be able to duplicate those injuries exactly (stupidity at it’s highest peak, IMO). So, who was he originally? I read that Eric Fellows (Troy) is returning, but I don’t think it’s him, because we haven’t seen him yet, and Rafe2 has already been created. Any guesses? It might last until May sweeps, unfortunately, but I would hope they reveal Rafe2’s real identity before it does end. That’s what makes these types of stories so incredulous. The faux Rafe would have to be an exact replica body-shape, height, weight, etc. as the original, and that’s what makes the whole thing DUMB-DE-DUMB DUMB!
January 30, 2011 at 1:41 am #20484NoraParticipantabsolutely agree with you about this SL being DUMB!!! I cant stand it. I’m not looking forward to this SL at all. I hate that they are going back to old Stefano. and old Kate for that matter. I was just starting to actually "like" Kate and Stefano now they have to go and do this.
January 30, 2011 at 2:18 am #2048653tdogsParticipantno stopping him, with his agenda and money – he could do any one of a million things. Plastic surgery, robot, mask, evil twin, who the heck knows, we’ve been there before. I just think the entire thing is a rehash of the past (boo) and I for one will be looking for the actors lines that have been said before and how the story lines are simular to the past. Lazy writing! Lazy! And how could Sami not know that it – (he) isn’t Rafe – are they not going to do the hanky-panky at all or be intimate in any way for months?
January 31, 2011 at 10:33 pm #20516caseyParticipantDays is going to milk this good/bad Rafe. Remember how L-O-N-G John and NuJohn dragged on? It was entertaining a first, but Days just didn’t want to end it.
I’m betting though, the actor is probably going to enjoy the challenge.January 31, 2011 at 10:48 pm #20517zsuzsaParticipantI think the audience would have more tolerance for far-fetched plots if the writer’s didn’t try to MILK them so much. They just can’t seem to wrap it up before everyone completely loses interest. Maybe if we all did story outlines for a year’s worth of Days and sent them in, they could gather enough ideas for what to do next and get some story lines wrapped up.
