In my book this was the best challenge I’ve seen on the show. Almost everyone rocked it. I’m in sheer awe of the creative minds of these designers. Ven and Sanji were out of this world. And that one guy with the checkered dress was terrific too.
That Lancy or whoever the one who lost – what an arrogant piece of work. How could she think she was going to get by just using material? She was terrible two weeks in a row and made excuses about time. Uh – everyone had the same amount of time and look how they executed. I love this show!July 27, 2012 at 2:48 pm #34655bluebonnetParticipantKooan, or the woman who made the apron out of candy dots. But, I loved all the others! I thought it was a great challenge, too! When the models were coming down the runway, I just couldn’t believe the designers had created such stunning outfits out of candy. Loved the episode.

The only thing I didn’t like, though, about his dress, was that it didn’t come across as very vibrant with colors, although that may have been my TV. But that beige licorice thing was just awful. I was pretty sure Landi was going to lose because she really wasn’t following the challenge, but lord, those three bottom ones were all just butt ugly! I don’t believe I’ve ever seen Nina so animated in her judging. She was really sticking it to the bottom three during their deliberations. I’m also amazed that the Japanese guy is still in it. I guess it was just not quite as bad as the bottom three, but that cotton candy meltdown was horrific.

The biege "dress" was UG-LY, plus it was falling apart. When the model came back out, too many gaping holes. But the designer with that striped number had to go…must follow directions!
July 28, 2012 at 11:09 pm #34726BonbonParticipantI’m surprised none of the judges mentioned about all the candy falling off that pina colada Twizzler’s dress. If it had been sewn and started falling apart I’m sure they would have.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m putting my money on Ven. That’s the second week in a row his creation has been outstanding. And how come that candy dots nightmare wasn’t voted off. That was horrendous.

Even Heidi said that she would wear that dress. Sanji also made a very beautiful dress but Ven’s was just spectacular. Many of the others also did phenomenal jobs. Hats off to their creative efforts.
I’m glad that Vanti was voted off. I’m surprised the judges didn’t stick it to her more on the fact that she hardly used any candy. I thought they would be pretty rough on her. I know there’s a lot of editing for the final show, so maybe they did lay into her a little more.
I was extremely surprised that the older lady who made the apron thingy was not in the bottom. I thought for sure that she would be in the bottom and probably going home. I never could have guessed she’d be safe! That thing was terrible! It had no shape and looked just like Tim described, a kid’s craft project. I think she just pasted the candy button strips together and threw it on the model. Really, really bad. I don’t think she’ll go far in this competition.
I wish it had been a two hour (or even three!) show. I love all the shows but this one was amazing.
