I remember someone (Tony?) coming back with ashes he said were Stefano’s but it couldn’t have been proven because you can’t do DNA on ashes. Anyone remember how Stefano was to have died that time? I know he’s been known to rise up from the ashes. (The Phoenix).
October 9, 2014 at 10:43 am #45506PattiParticipantto E.J. DiMera; like father, like son, I truly believe his death will be faked. Now, whether it’s by someone else or by E.J. himself, I’m not sure. What I DON’T want to have happen is to have some newbie, i.e., Clyde, be the one to kill E.J. He’s too iconic a character to have him meet his demise by someone who has only been with the show for a couple of months. I also don’t believe it will be Chad, so if E.J. DiMera has to go down, I want it to be worth my while to say to myself: “well, okay, I expected that.” But, please writers, do NOT let it be at the hands of James Read’s “Okie from Muskogee” character.
October 9, 2014 at 12:31 pm #45508caseyParticipantand wasn’t it speculated this or tomorrow would be James’ last day? I do’t see that coming.
October 9, 2014 at 1:05 pm #45509TFlo1018Participantas i said in a prior post – that they are setting CLYDE up to be the next bill bad guy!!!!! DOOL needs a villain and what better way to set his place in Salem but killing off E.J.
Though I do agree with you – the death will be faxed. I’d love to see it be faked by Sami and EJ though!!! That would be a classic way for them to exit Salem.
October 9, 2014 at 2:58 pm #45513lynnekarenParticipantBut Clyde doesn’t seem like a big, scary, bad guy. Even Jordan and Ben aren’t "scared" of him. I just can’t see him filling those shoes, it’s a shame, it’s fun to have a really good villain around wondering what they’ll do next. Clyde just seems like a character to me.
October 9, 2014 at 3:06 pm #45514justwonderingParticipantHe is quiet and unassuming. That doesn’t mean he is not dangerous. He keeps a low profile which suits his purpose of staying on the down low. Just cause he is a "country boy" doesn’t mean he is not an intelligent business man who can run a drug business as well as EJ.
October 9, 2014 at 10:13 pm #45517caseyParticipanttoday’s action looks like it could lead to an imminent EJ departure. Particularly his conversation with Johnny. This past week it’s been too idyllic for Ej and family. When EJ left the mansion there was a brief pause, like maybe he knew exactly what was about to happen, so as was discussed, maybe his death will be faked.
But I’d have to think when it’s time for Sami to go EJ will reappear and they’ll exit happily. I can’t imagine it any other way.October 9, 2014 at 10:48 pm #45518PattiParticipantof the Dallas “Who Shot J.R.” show with E.J. for November sweeps. A who-done-it mystery is in the works, also similar to Nick Fallon’s demise. So, here we go again!!
October 10, 2014 at 6:30 am #45519BonbonParticipantIt has never been said it’s drugs. So far, that’s just an assumption we have all made. It seems to me they have been very careful to not identify exactly what kind of “business” they are dealing in.
October 10, 2014 at 1:28 pm #45521dvalParticipantAnd I agree. EJ seemed to be trying to tie up all loose ends so Sami and her family would be close again, as if he knew what was going to happen. I’m thinking maybe his henchman who was with him and Clyde was playing the good henchman/bad henchman role and it was set up by EJ to set up Clyde if you follow that convoluted sentence, LOL.
October 10, 2014 at 1:30 pm #45522dvalParticipantwhen Clyde first showed up that he was a drug supplier. But it has been a while since he arrived so I could be “misremembering” to quote Theresa. I was shocked that it had only been three months John was in a coma, seemed a lot longer that that story was drawn out.
October 10, 2014 at 1:42 pm #45523caseyParticipantyou’re right. I wonder if Days expects viewers to buy EJ’s death? In the old days without spoilers and social mediai etc we’d all probably think it was real. Hard to keep secrets now.
October 10, 2014 at 2:02 pm #45524PattiParticipantthat the writers were going to fake E.J.’s death, so that’s just fine with me. I don’t know if JS will ever return, but I’m sure AS will at some point, especially for the 50th anniversary. I, too, think it will turn out that E.J.’s minion shoots E.J., but with blanks in the gun so as to make it appear, at least to Clyde, that he’s dead. From the JS and AS interviews I’ve read, they have both stated that EJami fans will be happy with their departure, so I’m holding on to the belief that E.J.’s death was, indeed, faked.
